- Civil and Environmental Engineering: civil, environmental (doctorate only)

Published by Daejeon University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- Application form, filled in at jinhakapply.com, printed and signed; study plan (school form)
- University graduation (or expected) certificate and transcript (doctorate: the master's papers)
- TOPIK score report copy; Korean Language Education Center students file the completion certificate
- Alien registration card copy if you are in Korea; passport or ID copy of you and both parents
- Degree verification: an apostille, or consular confirmation from a Korean mission abroad or your own mission in Korea, or a Chinese Ministry of Education (chsi.com.cn) report. Apostille countries: consular confirmation not accepted
- Proof of foreign nationality of you and both parents and of your family relation (Chinese: household register; Japanese: family register; or your birth certificate). Schooled entirely abroad: all diplomas and transcripts
- Bank balance certificate in your or a financial sponsor's name (see notes)
THE BANK BALANCE IS 16,000,000 WON OR MORE, in your or a financial sponsor's name: valid up to 6 months from issue, and kept in the account for at least 1 month counted to the visa issue date.
Application fee, paid inside the online application: master's 50,000 won, doctorate 70,000 won, plus a 5,000 won online charge (55,000 or 75,000 won). Fees and papers are not returned if you withdraw, miss the interview, are not admitted or give up the place.
TUITION IS NOT PRINTED in the 2027 guide, the Fall 2026 guide or the Graduate School pages. The school says it differs by field (humanities and social, science and engineering, arts and sport, medicine) and shows it on the admission bill.
No entrance fee is printed either. Ask the Graduate School (+82-42-280-4123) before you plan your budget.
Results 9 December 2026 from 15:00 on the Graduate School website, where the tuition bill is printed. Tuition 14 December, 10:00 to 21 December 2026, 23:00, by Hana Bank virtual account. Entry 2 March 2027.
On arrival, admitted international students report to the International relations office (Hyehwa Culture Center room 407) for entry and visa registration (+82-42-280-2489).
Dormitory: the graduate guide prints none. The international office living-guide page (undated) prints, a semester: Hall 3 single 1,400,000, double 700,000, four-person 600,000; Hall 2 three-person 450,000 won.
Research and teaching assistant (RA and TA) scholarships are work-scholarship pay for full-time students the department head recommends. Amounts not printed.
RA: science, engineering and medicine, full-time and not employed; GPA 4.0 last semester (new students: 3.5 in the previous degree). TA: humanities and social sciences, departments with 10 or more students, one per 10.

All requirements
- You are a foreign national whose parents are both foreign nationals, or a Korean or foreign national who did all schooling equal to Korean primary, secondary and university education abroad
- Master's: a bachelor's degree, held or expected by February 2027. Doctorate: a master's degree, held or expected by February 2027
- If your earlier major differs from the one you apply to, you take prerequisite courses after entry, as set by the same-field score
- KOREAN: TOPIK 3 or higher (two fields differ: see the Korean line of each programme), or 1 year at the Daejeon University Korean Language Education Center plus the school's Korean test (TOPIK 3 level)
- The graduate guide prints no date for the school's Korean test (the undergraduate test is 18 December 2026, after the graduate papers are due). Centre students using that route: ask the Graduate School first
- KIIP or King Sejong Institute at the matching level also counts: TOPIK 2 = pre-test 41 points, stage 2 or Sejong beginner 2; TOPIK 3 = 61 points, stage 3 or intermediate 1; TOPIK 4 = 81 points, stage 4 or intermediate 2
- No English route: the guide prints no TOEFL, IELTS or TEPS option and no English-taught department
- Selection, 100 points: documents 40 (previous grades as percentages), oral interview 40 (major knowledge 20, will to study 10, expression and attitude 10), same-field match 20. Highest totals pass
- A foreign transcript with only a GPA: get a percentage proof from your university, or the school converts the GPA with its own table (4.5 scale)
- Interviews run 13 to 20 November 2026; each department sets the day and place and tells you. Missing it means a fail. Only one department and one track per applicant
- A major may not open if few apply, and whether a department recruits this intake is decided by a demand survey
- To submit a thesis, international students need TOPIK 4 or higher, for a master's and a doctorate alike (2026 graduate guidebook, p.18)
- The same guide also covers three special graduate schools (4-semester master's). They are not listed here; ask the office
- The Fall 2026 guide had a Korean-Chinese bilingual graduate track with no TOPIK. The Spring 2027 guide prints none, and the intro page that still shows it is undated
