What do I need?

• Application form and study plan (two copies each), and the academic verification consent for overseas graduates
• Passport copy and alien registration card copy if you live in Korea
• Bachelor's graduation certificate with an apostille or consular confirmation, the diploma (China) and the full four-year transcript in English or Korean; PhD applicants add the master's papers; CHSI verification for Chinese degrees
• Department recommendation (sent by the department)
• Language certificate, two copies
• Nationality proof for you and your parents, and a notarised family relationship certificate with an apostille or consular confirmation
• Schooled entirely abroad: primary, middle and high school certificates and transcripts plus an entry and exit record

THE BANK BALANCE IS USD 20,000 or the equivalent, from a Korean or foreign bank (no passbook copies), issued within 30 days, sent after tuition payment. Chinese bank money frozen six months. Full-scholarship holders send the scholarship proof instead.

Application fee 80,000 won for a master's, 90,000 for a PhD or integrated course.

Dormitory, 2026 basis: Namsan Hall about 390,000 won a month, Goyang Hall about 340,000, meals extra.

All requirements

• NEWEST GUIDE IS FALL 2026. No Spring 2027 graduate guide was posted on 25 September 2026
• You and both parents are foreign nationals, or you did all your schooling from primary school to your last degree abroad. A nationality taken after birth must be at least two years old
• A bachelor's for a master's or integrated course; a master's for a PhD; any previous major (prerequisite courses if different). No transfer admission
• LANGUAGE, one of (scores within two years): TOPIK 3; TOEFL iBT 71, IELTS 5.5 or New TEPS 327; an English-speaking nationality; a Korean degree; a Korean-language degree abroad; Sejong intermediate 2; KIIP 3; or a department recommendation
• LANGUAGE-EXEMPT departments include mathematics, physics, chemistry, life science, pharmacy, most engineering, semiconductors, medical AI, medicine, Korean medicine, geography, International Buddhist Studies and Global Business
• Selection: department head recommendation plus documents, with an interview arranged by the department; portfolio for modern literature, architecture and fine art; practical for Korean music
• Departments marked E accept English-only applicants; Japanese Studies accepts Japanese; Global Business is taught entirely in Chinese
