Published by Dongguk University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.

What do I need?

• Application form printed and signed after applying online, the applicant record card and the education verification consent
• Passports of you and both parents (Chinese applicants: residence ID cards plus your passport)
• Family relationship or birth certificate, original, with a notarised translation if not in English
• High school transcript with an apostille or Korean consular confirmation (Chinese schools: notarised copy)
• High school graduation certificate with education verification (China: CHSI report or the Seoul Confucius Academy)
• TOPIK certificate, Sejong certificate, or institute attendance record and transcript
• Alien registration card if you hold one; divorce, remarriage, death or nationality papers where they apply
• Optional recommendation letter

THE BANK BALANCE IS 20,000,000 WON (USD 15,000, RMB 120,000) in your or your parents' name, issued within a month, sent only after you pay tuition as an admitted student. Chinese bank money stays frozen until after 31 August 2027.

Application fee 130,000 won; Theatre 160,000; Fine Arts 180,000; Korean Music 200,000. Not refunded after the window closes.

Dormitory, Fall 2026 rates: Namsan Hall (Seoul) double room 1,661,280 won for four months; Goyang Hall (BioMedi) 1,464,000.

All requirements

• You and both parents are foreign nationals; a nationality taken after birth counts only if you had it before high school. Korean dual nationals and stateless persons cannot apply
• You graduate (or will, by February 2027) from a regular high school. An equivalency exam, homeschooling, cyber schooling or lifelong education is NOT accepted
• KOREAN, one of: TOPIK 3; Sejong Institute intermediate 3B; four terms at the Dongguk institute with level 3; four terms at another university institute with level 4; or stage 3 of the Dongguk level test on 28 October
• NO ENGLISH TRACK and no English score accepted instead of Korean. After admission TOPIK 4 is needed for major courses and to graduate
• THE DONGGUK LEVEL TEST IS SAT IN PERSON on 28 October; the admission notice of 10 September 2026 says it cannot be taken abroad. Ask for it when you apply. Applicants with TOPIK 3 or an institute certificate skip it
• A TOPIK certificate counts only if its validity covers 13 November 2026 to 12 November 2028. The institute routes need 80% attendance every term
• You name a first and a second choice. Media Communication, Advertising and every arts department take a first choice only
• Selection: documents 100% for every department; Fine Arts and Theatre 100% practical; Korean Music an interview plus performance
• Medicine, Korean medicine, pharmacy and nursing are not in the unit list. Only the round 1 guide is published for Spring 2027
• Refund or withdrawal requests by 19 February 2027, to a Korean bank account only. National health insurance is compulsory
