What do I need?
- Application forms (Form 1 to Form 5), originals
- Health check confirmation (Form 6): the column reads "original and certified copy". Another format is fine, but it must be an original signed or stamped by the hospital or doctor. A tuberculosis test and 2 measles vaccine doses are required
- Final graduation certificate and final transcript, originals with an Apostille or consular confirmation (if an original cannot be reissued, a certified copy of it with that confirmation). Not Korean or English: add a notarised translation
- Chinese nationals who studied in China (the guide's own split, PDF p.5): the Chinese Ministry of Education centre's verification report is the basic paper; where a paper would need consular confirmation, an apostilled one may replace it
- Proof of your relation to your financial sponsor (family relation or birth certificate, resident register or similar). Column: "original and notarised copy". Add a notarised Korean or English translation. Divorce or death papers if needed
- Bank balance certificate, original: a balance equal to 8,000,000 won (KRW) or more, shown in KRW or USD
- Your financial sponsor's employment or income certificate, original (self-funded applicants: your own). If you cannot file it, a separate plan for paying your study costs, in any format
- Passport copy
- TOPIK score copy (optional)
THE BANK BALANCE IS 8,000,000 WON OR MORE (or the same in USD): an original issued within 1 month. If your bank cannot issue it in KRW or USD, attach your own exchange calculation.
Validity as printed in the Korean guide: issued within 30 days, or, when the paper prints an expiry date, issued within 6 months. The English guide words this differently; the Korean text is shown here.
As the guide prints it (PDF p.4, bank certificate row): applicants from Uzbekistan may file only a bank balance certificate issued by KDB Bank.
One English page of the school website (graduate "How to Apply", undated) still says US$9,000 for this programme. The dated guide and the programme's own English page say 8,000,000 won, shown here.
Tuition 1,200,000 won a term (Winter 2026 rate; may change by school policy). An application fee is mentioned (it is not returned) but no amount is printed. Paying from abroad adds a Korean bank charge.
Winter 2026: document screening 19 to 21 October; results and invoice 22 to 23 October; tuition 26 to 30 October 2026; the term starts on 7 December 2026. The end date is not printed.
Dormitory (regular semester, degree-student rates): Global Village two-person 850,000 won; International House 1 three-person 600,000, two-person 660,000; International House 2 two-person 800,000. Seasonal term 550,000 for every room.
These dormitory rates are printed on a Winter 2026 basis and may change when the semester changes.
For language students the dormitory fee differs by entry date, and a place is decided after review. New students get a random room and roommate. Pay within one week of moving in, after getting the bill at the dormitory office.
Keep at least 2 spare sets of your education and bank papers for the visa. More papers may be asked for. If you are still due to graduate, hand in the final certificate before entry or the admission is cancelled.
Contact (Winter 2026 guide): International Exchange Center, +82-51-320-2093 (English) or +82-51-320-2092 (Chinese).
The university directory (undated page) lists the institute office at 051-320-2097, on the 3rd floor of the kindergarten building beside the Culture Center, Jurye campus.

All requirements
- Foreign nationals whose parents are foreign nationals too. Dual nationals cannot apply
- If you or your parents gave up or lost Korean nationality, file an official paper showing the fact and the exact date. A receipt or report form is not accepted
- Four terms a year, 10 weeks and 200 hours each: Spring March to May, Summer June to August, Fall September to November, Winter December to February
- Classes run Monday to Friday. Two slots are printed, 09:00 to 12:50 / 14:00 to 17:50; 200 hours in 10 weeks works out at 4 hours a day, one slot (our arithmetic). The timetable may change (for example afternoon classes opening)
- Six steps from beginner 1 to advanced 2. Culture activities 2 or more times a term. One-to-one counselling and a student-to-student mentoring programme are listed
- Apply by visit or by post to the International Exchange Center by 17:00 on the closing day. A postmark up to the closing day is accepted; later only if agreed in advance. An interview is held only if needed
- After admission: results and an invoice come to you individually, then tuition, the standard admission letter, your visa application, a level test, dormitory check-in and orientation
- WINTER 2026 is the newest guide (posted 17 September 2026). No Spring 2027 language guide is posted yet, so 2027 dates are not known; only the month ranges above are printed
- Visa: the Winter 2026 guide names no visa type and no minimum number of terms. The school's older English brochure (2022) says a D-4 visa is required and the first enrolment is for two semesters; ask the office
- The university does not issue the visa: you apply yourself after receiving the standard admission letter
- No scholarship for the language programme is printed in the Winter 2026 guide
- The schedule may change. Scores and evaluation details are not disclosed
