Published by Duksung Women's University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- Application form and study plan, typed online and printed (self-introduction, motives and research plan, up to 1,500 characters each). Write your name in Korean letters
- One photo (3 x 4 cm, taken within 6 months)
- PhD only: a recommendation (school form), written in Korean or English by the recommending professor, who sends it straight to the graduate office
- Graduation (or expected) certificate and transcript for each degree (bachelor's; and master's for PhD), with the grade scale (4.0, 4.3, 4.5) shown
- Consent to an academic record check (school form), one sheet for each school abroad from middle school up (the form says so; the table asks for all levels, p.9 says each university)
- Integrated, PhD and transfer applicants from a similar (not the same) field: a similar-field confirmation (유사계열 확인서, graduate site forms), checked by the department you apply to
- A copy of the degree diploma does not replace the graduation certificate. Internet-issued certificates count only with an issue number
- Nationality proof (citizenship or passport copy) and, if in Korea, alien registration card copy: you and both parents (parents both foreign) or you only (foreigners with all schooling abroad). Both groups: family relation certificate
- Proof of residence abroad (for applicants of Korean descent and overseas Koreans), as the table prints
- All schooling done abroad: certificates and transcripts for every level of schooling (전 교육과정), not only the degree. Overseas Koreans also file an overseas national registration (재외국민 등록필증) for both parents and you
- Financial proof (both foreign-national groups; the table asks none from overseas Koreans): an original bank certificate (see the notes) and the sponsor's study expense pledge (school form)
- TOPIK report (Korean proof). A study visa copy goes to the graduate office before classes start, if you have one
- Degrees from China, as printed: an English degree verification report from the China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center (cdgdc.edu.cn or chsi.com.cn)
THE BANK BALANCE IS USD16,000 OR MORE: a bank balance certificate in your or a parent's name, or proof of USD16,000 remitted or exchanged in Korea, original, issued within 30 days of the application deadline.
A sibling's account needs proof of the family relation (guide p.9).
The Fall 2026 graduate guide asked USD20,000; the Spring 2027 guide asks USD16,000.
Application fee 80,000 won (master's, PhD and integrated), by bank transfer to the account printed in the guide, 12 to 23 October 2026 16:00. Not refunded.
DOCUMENT DEADLINE: the guide says papers must arrive by 27 October 2026 17:00, and in one place that a Korean postmark by the deadline counts. Send early.
Exam: the schedule table says 6 to 7 November 2026; the method section says interviews on 7 November from 10:00. Details come from the department.
Results 20 November 2026 14:00 on the graduate site. International registration 23 to 27 November 2026 16:00 (Hana Bank). Missing registration cancels the place.
Bring ID on the exam day; missing the interview means you fail. Expected graduates send the final certificate to the graduate office after graduating in February 2027. Fees and papers are not returned.
Dormitory: graduate students may apply to Gaon Hall II single rooms only, 1,838,000 won for the 2026 second semester (30 August to 20 December 2026). 2027 rates not printed.
The same dormitory notice also says international students may apply to Gaon Hall I only; it does not say which rule applies to an international graduate student. Ask the dormitory (+82-2-2001-8000).

All requirements
- A full-tuition award for AI Computer Engineering cybersecurity and industrial security entrants is printed for Korean nationals only (내국인에 한함); it is not open to international students

- International track (정원 외), as printed: students whose parents are both foreigners, or foreigners and overseas Koreans who did all schooling equal to Korean primary, secondary and university education abroad
- The same track also lists students commissioned under Ministry of Education rules (교육부령이 정하는 위탁학생)
- Master's and integrated master's-PhD: a bachelor's (or expected) from a university in or outside Korea. PhD: a master's (or expected). Integrated: your field must match or be close to your undergraduate field
- The graduate school is coeducational (남‧여 공학): men and women may apply
- LANGUAGE: no minimum score to apply is printed. Without TOPIK 3 (no score included) you must reach TOPIK 3 within 1 year of entry, and TOPIK 4 before you can graduate
- Selection for international applicants: documents and an oral exam testing Korean or English; arts departments may hold a practical test
- Transfers into semester 2 or 3: 1 or 2 semesters and 6 or 12 credits in the same or a similar field at a graduate school
- Tuition and the entrance fee are not printed in the guide or on the graduate site. The scholarship table shows that the tuition fee (등록금) includes an entrance fee. Ask the graduate office (+82-2-901-8149)
- Exam method and place are to be announced on 5 November 2026 (planned); the exam may be online (Zoom) or in person. Join an online interview alone in a private room, not a cafe. Ask your department about the interview content
- All admission notices go on the graduate site's notice board; nobody is told one by one. Print your exam ticket there after the paper deadline and bring it, with ID, to the exam
- False entries or papers cancel the admission, even after entry, and tuition paid is not refunded
- Places: the guide prints placeholders ("신입학 00명 / 편입학 0명 / 정원 외 0명"). All departments take international applicants. An applicant judged below the level needed may be refused whatever the places
- SPRING 2027 GUIDE (Korean). The notice was re-posted with a revised file on 21 October 2026; Pharmacy's master's now lists AI drug development. Check the notice before you apply
