What do I need?
- Application form, study plan and consent form printed from jinhakapply
- High school graduation certificate and transcript with an apostille or Korean consular confirmation, issued within six months (Chinese schools: CHSI online certificate)
- Your passport copy (and alien registration card if in Korea) and both parents' passport copies
- Birth certificate or family relationship certificate (Chinese applicants: kinship certificate or household register, notarised English translation)
- Divorce, death or remarriage papers where they apply
- Language proof: optional on the Korean track, compulsory on the English track
- Art and music: portfolio video uploaded as MP4, MOV, WMV or AVI
THE BANK BALANCE IS 20,000,000 WON, USD 16,000 OR RMB 120,000 (10,000,000 won if you already study at the Gachon KLEC on a D-4), issued within 30 days, sent after admission (it may go with the application). In Korea, a Korean bank in your own name. Exempt if you did middle and high school in Korea.
Application fee 150,000 won, refunded only if you cancel before the deadline.
Families with three or more children from lower-middle-income countries or below (OECD list) get an extra tuition scholarship with a family certificate.

All requirements
- NEWEST GUIDE IS FALL 2026. The Spring 2027 (March entry) guide was not posted on 25 September 2026; the office posts it on its admissions board, usually in the autumn
- You and both parents hold foreign nationality; a Korean parent or dual nationality rules you out
- You graduate (or will) from a regular high school. Online, adult, lifelong, correspondence schooling, an equivalency exam or homeschooling is NOT accepted for freshmen
- KOREAN TRACK: no score needed to apply. Optional proofs: TOPIK 3, level 3 at a university institute, a pass in the Gachon Korean Language Test, Sejong intermediate 1, or KIIP stage 3
- TOPIK 4 IS REQUIRED for Business, Tourism, Media Communication, Psychology and Computer Engineering in their home colleges, and for every Medical campus unit; the International College versions of those departments need no score
- ENGLISH TRACK (Business Administration, Computer Engineering; freshmen only): IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 59 (home edition and MyBest accepted), CEFR B2, or nationality of the USA, UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa
- Without TOPIK 4 you take two semesters of intensive Korean (34 credits), transfers one; English track one semester. Korean-track students need TOPIK 4 to graduate or pay for a substitute programme
- International Liberal Studies spends year one on Korean, then a major with TOPIK 3 or the Gachon test; International College admits cannot move to another college
- Selection: documents only; art and music add a portfolio review; Medical campus units add an online interview
- Medicine, pharmacy, nursing and early childhood education are not open to this track
