All requirements
- You and both parents hold foreign nationality. If you or a parent is a dual national you cannot apply: Korean nationality must be given up before the deadline. Immigrants and adoptees count only if all became foreign before high school
- FRESHMEN: all of primary, middle and high school completed in Korea or abroad (February 2027 graduates included). School-leaving exams (검정고시), homeschooling and cyber learning are NOT accepted, in Korea or abroad
- Years of schooling: 12 or more across two or more countries are accepted; 11 years only if the last 3 were in one country. A shorter system may be topped up with university study in that country (conversion table in the guide)
- TRANSFERS enter year 3 (Veterinary Medicine: year 1): 2 years (4 semesters) done at a four-year university, or a junior college degree (February 2027 graduates included). Current or on-leave GNU students cannot apply
- KOREAN, one of: TOPIK 3 (TOPIK 2 for arts and physical education); King Sejong Institute intermediate 1 or an SKA score of 321 or more; KIIP level 3 or a pre-test score of 61 or more;
- or one year of D-4 Korean study at a Korean university language institute plus its in-house test at TOPIK 3 level. Only scores valid at the time of application count
- Taking the 108th or 109th TOPIK test? File the test ticket, then the score report on its release date. With the officer's prior agreement a missing score is assessed as TOPIK 3, but it must arrive before results or you fail
- ENGLISH: the undergraduate guide prints no English track and no English test route
- Selection, general departments: documents (eligibility), then the department scores language ability 50% and an interview 50%. You need 70% or more. First choices are decided first, then second, then third
- The third choice can only be the Division of Global Interdisciplinary Studies. The general application form applies you to it automatically unless you tick "no third choice"
- Places: no fixed number for any unit. Units not in the guide's table take no international students
- TUITION: the guide's table is the 2026 base (2027 rates not printed) and prints no period; the finance office bills tuition each semester. No entrance fee is printed. Where a row holds two bands, the majors list gives both
- TO GRADUATE you need TOPIK 4 or higher by the grade confirmation date of your last semester (rule for students entering from 2024)
- Ask for the dormitory on the application form: you cannot ask after admission. International students are placed first, so every student who asks gets a room (the school assigns the hall)
- No leave of absence in your first semester (except military service, infectious disease or illness). National Health Insurance is compulsory: without it there is no visa extension and scholarships are limited
- The undergraduate guide prints no class start date. The graduate guide for the same intake says classes start on 2 March 2027 (planned)
