The Korean guide (p.6, which prevails) lists the same countries in Korean; it writes Saint Vincent and the Grenadines as "세인트빈센트, 그레나딘" and Swaziland as "스와질란드", with no "Eswatini".

In English (English guide): general high schools in China file the CHSI verification report; other Chinese high schools and high schools in Vietnam file a notarised diploma with the foreign ministry and Korean consulate stamps described.
Tuition from abroad when the Korean virtual account cannot be used: ask foreign@hanbat.ac.kr for the account, send won in the window, and send the receipt within 5 days (weekends and holidays excluded).
For applicants living abroad, the school takes 7 days (weekends and holidays excluded) to confirm the tuition payment (guide p.14).
Results 15 January 2027 after 15:00 on the admission site, no individual notice. The admission letter for the D-2 visa comes from the Office of International Affairs after tuition is paid (+82-42-821-1395).
The admission letter is issued only to students who complete registration; more education or financial papers may be asked by a deadline. Check the D-2 visa papers on your Korean embassy's site.
Dormitory (guide): Dormitory 1 (BTL) double room, 680,000 won plus two compulsory meals a day 757,990 won = 1,437,990 won, utilities included, 2026 first-semester basis (meals for 115 days). Your department sends the applications and the fees in one batch.
The dormitory office's own notice for the 2026 second semester prints the same figures. Students of AI Software (Sejong joint campus) can apply to the Sejong campus happy dormitory on its own site.

All requirements
- You and both parents are foreign nationals (Higher Education Act decree, art. 29(2)6). Dual nationals cannot apply. You and your parents must all have taken foreign nationality before you began high-school-level study
- If a parent has died, that parent's nationality is not counted; only your own foreign nationality is checked (guide note)
- FRESHMEN: you finished abroad all schooling equal to Korean primary and secondary school. Homeschooling and cyber learning are not accepted
- TRANSFERS: the freshman rules, plus year 2 or more finished at a 4-year university, or a 2-year junior college diploma (Korea or abroad). Not for graduates of a Korean university through credit exchange. Some majors take freshmen only
- KOREAN ROUTE (all departments except International Studies), one of: TOPIK 3 or TOPIK IBT 3; a university Korean course finished or in its last term; KIIP stage 3 or pre-test 61; King Sejong intermediate 1 (not online)
- ENGLISH ROUTE (same departments): IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL iBT 79, AND TOPIK 2 or TOPIK IBT 2. Nationals of a country on the guide's English list are deemed to meet the IELTS or TOEFL part (list in the document notes)
- Still in a Korean course's last term: a conditional pass; send the transcript and attendance record after the course to be finally admitted
- Only language scores taken on or after 18 December 2024 count (2 years before the document deadline). The guide prints the older TOEFL scale only
- Selection: documents checked pass or fail, then an interview worth 100% (under 60 points fails) on study attitude, study ability in the major (languages included) and aptitude
- Interview 6 January 2027, face to face. Applicants abroad may ask for an online interview (Zoom, Skype) by e-mail to foreign@hanbat.ac.kr by 27 December 2026 (test call planned for 4 January); without it you sit the interview in person
- Missing the interview fails. Bring the exam ticket (printed from the application site) and ID (alien registration card or passport). Interview notices come at the end of December 2026 on the admission site
- In-person interviews: wait in building S0 (International Hall) and be in the waiting room by the notified time; no entry after it. Sitting for someone else, false facts or cheating fail
- One department only; applying to two cancels both. Places are not numbered: each unit selects by study ability
- TUITION a semester, 2026 first-semester rates (2027 tuition will be set by the tuition committee): 2,329,400 engineering, IT, design, AI and Nomad College; 1,971,180 humanities and social sciences; 1,863,270 business
- No entrance fee is printed in the guide. Tuition is paid from 18 January 2027 10:00 to 25 January 16:00 into a personal KB virtual account, in won only; unpaid means the place is lost
- Questions on paying tuition: the guide lists the Office of Admissions at +82-42-821-8641 (N1 building, 3rd floor) for this task, a different line from the admission questions number +82-42-828-8641
- Full-scholarship students (bill of 0 won) must still confirm registration online (등록동의), or the place is lost
- Admitted to more than one university: register at one only; registering at two cancels every admission. After you give up registration you cannot register again
- Admission is cancelled, even after the admission letter, if an eligibility defect is found or entry to Korea is not permitted (guide PDF p.16)
