What do I need?
- Application form, on HILS's form Forms
- The required essays, on paper and by email to [email protected], 500 words each at most
- Two recommendation letters, at least one from a teacher or work supervisor
- Official transcripts from every institution you attended, degree or not
- Diploma or certificate of pending graduation. US graduates add a National Student Clearinghouse degree verification
- Birth certificate
- Your passport, and your parents' passports or ID cards showing their citizenship
- Original English score report, unless you are exempt
- Personal information consent form
- Application fee of USD 100, not refunded, by money order or another way HILS agrees
YOUR PACKET MUST ARRIVE BY 27 OCTOBER 2026. A postmark does not count, and email or fax is not accepted. You may also hand it in at the HILS office.
A transcript or diploma not in English needs its translation notarised by the Korean embassy or consulate, sent with the original.
Certificates must have been issued within the last six months.
General Admission is a separate route with a 100,000 won fee, forms printed from Jinhak Apply, and a 14 October deadline. You cannot apply to both.

All requirements
- International Special Admission: you and both parents are non-Korean, or you are non-Korean and did all your schooling and university outside Korea
- Korean dual citizens cannot use the International Special Admission
- A bachelor's degree from a recognised four-year university before you start
- You apply through General Admission or International Special Admission, never both
- General Admission is screened on documents, then a HILS English exam and a one-to-one interview with three interviewers
- The degree covers the U.S. law on American bar exams plus international law: 83 credits, including 12 of Christianity and Law
