Official figures from the source page on the date checked. Estimates are Waegook's. Unknown is shown as not published, never as zero.
A scholarship below can remove the tuition line.
What can I study?
- Industrial Management Engineering (no Management Engineering or Safety and Ergonomics intake), Mechanical Systems Engineering
- Industrial Management Engineering, Electronics and Information Engineering, IT Convergence Engineering, Mechanical Systems Engineering
Published by Hansung University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- Application form (with your own bank account and one mobile messenger ID) and an uploaded photo; self-introduction in Korean (English only if unavoidable) and a pledge, both on school forms
- University graduation (or expected) certificate and transcript: originals within 2 months of the application start, or notarised within 6 months; apostille or consular confirmation (China: apostille of both certificates)
- PhD applicants add the master's certificate and transcript. Passport or ID copies of you and both parents; alien registration card copy if in Korea
- Notarised family relation certificate within 1 year (Mongolia: 45 days); TOPIK 3 or higher, unexpired; English score (English track only); financial papers; optional recommendation letter and document list
- Foreign degrees also need proof of accreditation (China: CHSI and English degree certificate; USA: CHEA printout; others: see the guide), a record check consent and a printout of your university's contact page
THE BANK BALANCE IS 20,000,000 WON OR MORE. In Korea: a Korean bank certificate in your own name, kept until a date each guide sets (Fall 2026: 31 August 2026). Abroad: your or a parent's certificate in USD worth 20,000,000 won or more.
Bank papers are issued within 30 days of the application start. After admission an overseas remittance confirmation is compulsory.
Study funds should come from abroad by bank transfer, and the balance less living costs must stay in the account for 6 months. Cash deposits may have to be explained; a refused visa cancels the admission.
Expected-graduation certificates from foreign universities are not accepted, except a provisional or temporary certificate from countries with delayed diplomas, within 1 year of graduation.
The countries the guide names for that exception: Vietnam, Myanmar, Nepal, India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Israel and others.
Application fee 85,000 won for the international track (master's and PhD), not refundable unless the school cancels the exam. No tuition, entrance fee or dormitory figure is printed in the graduate guides or registration pages.
An older undated page gives other figures (a higher bank balance, an English-taught trade master's, fixed scholarship cuts); the dated 2026 guide is used here.

All requirements
- THE FALL 2026 LATE-ROUND GUIDE (posted 12 June 2026) IS THE NEWEST. No Spring 2027 graduate guide was posted by 5 October 2026 (last year the spring notice went up on 17 October 2025), so dates, fees and rules may change
- A bachelor's (for a master's) or a master's (for a PhD), held or expected in August 2026, or a legal equivalent
- NATIONALITY, one of: both parents foreign; or a Korean abroad or foreigner who did all schooling equal to Korean primary, secondary and university abroad (16 years for a master's, 18 for a PhD). Korean multiple nationals do not count
- KOREAN, one or more: TOPIK 3 (paper or IBT); a bachelor's or higher from a Korean four-year university; a government or foreign-government scholar, or an exchange student, recommended by the department head
- The first three Korean routes must reach TOPIK 4 before the graduation review (by 15 January for a February graduation, 15 July for August). English-track graduates are exempt
- ENGLISH TRACK: TOEFL iBT 59 (tests to 20 January 2026, recognised to 20 January 2028) or 3.5 (from 21 January 2026), IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2, TEPS 600 or New TEPS 202
- The only English-track programmes named are two special-graduate-school master's majors for international students (Global AI Management Consulting; Global Asset Management). Neither recruited in this round
- Departments for international students only did not recruit in the Fall 2026 late round. No General Graduate School department is listed as English track
- The guide asks international applicants to get counselling from the Graduate School Academic Affairs Office (+82-2-760-4271, [email protected]) before applying online; the Fall 2026 notices said it is optional if your papers are complete
- Special graduate schools (evening master's in business, public administration, arts, consulting and real estate) also take the international track; they are not listed here. Immigration asks evening students for stricter money proof
- Selection: document screening, then an interview (100%), in person or online
- Tuition is paid by IBK virtual account (Fall 2026: 3 to 7 August), in full in the first semester; student loans are not allowed
- Holders of short-stay (B, C), D-3, E-9, E-10 or G-1 status are in principle not allowed to change to D-2. A refused D-2 or no arrival by the semester start cancels the admission, unless your visa allows study
