All requirements
- ENGLISH, one of: citizen of a native-English country; secondary and high school completed in one; TOEFL iBT 59 (new scale 3.5) or higher; IELTS 5.5 or higher
- The countries the guide lists: USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa. Scores must be valid to 31 March 2027 and filed within the application period; no applications awaiting a score
- English-track students take set Korean courses, 3 credits each: in the March semester Korean writing, listening, reading and conversation; in September reading, presentation and discussion, and writing
- Transfers are Korean track only, so the English track takes freshmen only
- You and BOTH parents hold foreign nationality. A nationality gained after birth counts only if all three held it before the equivalent of Korean high school. Korean dual nationals and stateless persons cannot apply
- If birth and legal parents differ, none of them may be Korean. You cannot apply if a parent remarried a Korean national
- FRESHMEN: a regular high school in Korea or abroad, any year of graduation. 12 years of schooling is the rule; 10 or 11 years is accepted if it gives university entry in that country, but not for schooling split across countries
- NOT ACCEPTED at any school level: GED-type exams (the guide gives a self-study exam as an example), homeschooling, cyber learning, correspondence or lifelong-education qualifications. Time at agencies or language institutes does not count
- TRANSFERS (Korean track only, day programmes, no fixed quota): year 2 after year 1 with half the graduation credits of a 2-year college, a third of a 3-year college or a quarter of a 4-year university
- Year 3 after a 2-year college degree, or after 2 years at a 3-year college (two thirds of credits) or a 4-year university (half). Year 4 only for graduates or 3rd-year completers of a partner university, same field
- TOPIK counts up to the 109th test (15 November 2026) or the 16th IBT (28 November 2026), valid on 31 March 2027. Expected language-institute completers cannot apply; Hansung test results from its 3rd and 4th sittings count
- Every College of Global Talent freshman takes the school's Korean improvement programme whatever their TOPIK. Transfers without TOPIK 3 take 300 hours or more a year, which can add semesters. Korean track: TOPIK 4 to graduate
- Selection: documents 100%; an interview only if the school needs to check more, notified by e-mail (video or local interview possible for applicants abroad). Results are posted on the admission site only, with no individual notice
- No leave of absence in the first year. Another major can be added as a second track after entry, with two degrees awarded. A major may not open if too few students choose it
- Full tuition must be paid at registration; scholarships are applied after entry. Orientation 25 February 2027 09:00 (planned) is compulsory; classes from 2 March 2027 (planned)
- D-4 holders change visa through the school's group procedure, so no individual visa papers are issued to them. GKS scholars may follow a separate NIIED schedule
- Apply to one unit only; it cannot be changed after you apply. If the D-2 cannot be issued, changed or extended, the admission is cancelled and the fee is not refunded (F and H visa holders excepted)
- The admission page says the school recruits four times a year, twice for each intake. For March 2027 the rounds are 5 to 16 October and 23 November to 4 December 2026
