What do I need?

• Application form and declaration (plus the artwork verification for Design, Sports and Arts)
• High school graduation certificate with an apostille or consular authentication (CHSI for China)
• High school transcripts for the last three years on a 100-point scale, with proof of the school's maximum score
• Passports or ID of you and both parents, and a parent-child relationship document
• Korean certificate: TOPIK 3, IIE 3 or King Sejong intermediate 1 (English-track applicants only if they have one)
• English certificate, English track only: TOEFL iBT 71 or IELTS 5.5
• Artwork for Design, Sports and Arts; proof of giving up Korean nationality where it applies

THE BANK BALANCE IS AT LEAST 20,000,000 WON (as of 2026), asked from admitted students who need the D-2 visa after the result. Chinese bank money stays frozen until after 1 April 2027; in Korea, a Korean bank certificate in your own name; Uzbek nationals a KDB Bank certificate.

Application fee 139,500 won; 209,500 for Design, Sports and Arts; charged again for a second major. PayPal, UnionPay and Alipay may add fees.

Add about 50,000 won when paying tuition from abroad to cover transfer fees; the surplus is refunded.

ERICA dormitory for admitted international students, per semester: double room with shared facilities (men) 1,315,000; double with own bathroom 1,840,000 won.

All requirements

• You and both parents are foreign nationals, held since before you entered high school
• You graduate (or will) from a high school whose curriculum matches Korea's 12 years. Homeschooling, online learning, adult education, a GED and non-accredited schools are NOT accepted; IB and A-levels are
• KOREAN AT APPLICATION, one of: TOPIK 3 or TOPIK IBT 3; Hanyang IIE level 3; King Sejong Institute intermediate 1 (no online courses). Transfers need level 4; Architecture needs TOPIK 5 or IIE 5
• ENGLISH TRACK (Economics, Business Administration; Computer Science for third-year transfer): TOEFL iBT 71 or IELTS 5.5 (no home editions), no Korean needed. Exempt with an English-speaking nationality
• Admitted freshmen take two semesters of intensive Korean (eight credits each), transfers one, unless they show TOPIK 5 or IIE level 5. TOPIK 4 is needed to graduate (TOPIK 3 in Design, Sports and Arts; English track exempt)
• Selection: documents for every college; Design, Sports and Arts add artwork screening
• Advertising and PR, Media Studies, Culture Contents and Business Administration cannot be a second choice. Pharmacy is not in the list
• The Korean text of the guide prevails
