What can I study?

Published by Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS). Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.

What do I need?

• Application form, personal statement (Korean, English or Chinese) and study plan
• Bachelor's graduation (or expected) certificate and full transcript: Korean originals; CHSI reports plus notarised translations for China; apostille or consular authentication elsewhere
• Consent for academic verification and the personal information consent form
• Language score if you hold one
• Passport and residence card copy, parents' passports or ID, family relationship certificate (China: family certificate or Hukou)
• Financial Certification on the HUFS form

THE BANK BALANCE IS 20,000,000 WON, from admitted students only (from the March 2027 intake), in your or a parent's name, issued within 30 days of the Certificate of Admission request.

Application fee 120,000 won.

Tuition is Fall 2026 basis, subject to change; the admission fee is paid once with the first semester.

All requirements

• You and both parents are foreign nationals (no Korean dual nationality), held before the window opened, and you did primary, secondary and higher education in Korea or abroad
• A bachelor's from a regular four-year programme, held or expected; temporary degrees are not accepted
• A Korean (TOPIK) or English (TOEFL iBT, IELTS) score if you have one; without one your language is judged at the interview. Evaluation: papers 20, interview 80
• IMBA is a full-time two-year master's with Chinese subtitles and teaching assistants; MET is full-time media communication; TESOL is an evening programme taught in English
• Scholarship at admission: 20% off for TOPIK 4 (IMBA, MET; the Notion page says TOPIK 3 from March 2027) or IELTS 7.0 / TOEFL iBT 5.0 (TESOL); 50% for former HUFS exchange students; 50% for HUFS alumni (IMBA, MET)
