Published by Inha University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- Signed application form, resume and personal statement on the set forms; passport valid to February 2027 (Uzbek nationals: international passport); ARC copy if in Korea
- Degree certificates with apostille or consular legalisation (Korea: original with verification number; China: CHSI reports in English; PhD applicants both degrees)
- Transcripts with credits, CGPA and maximum score, plus a GPA conversion certificate (school, WES or Foreign Credits) for scales other than 4.0, 4.3, 4.5, 5.0 or 100
- A recommendation letter from a professor of your previous institution, dated within two years; Medicine: the Inha adviser's recommendation
- Family relation or birth certificate and both parents' passports or IDs (China: kinship certificate, hukou; Pakistan: NADRA family registration); Type B applicants add all school certificates from primary to university
- Official language certificate within two years (TOPIK with its 16-digit number, institute or Sejong certificate, TOEFL iBT, IELTS Academic, TOEIC, New TEPS; not ITP, Home Edition, IELTS General, institutional TOEIC or Duolingo)
- Bank statement, filed with the application; portfolio for arts and performance; education verification consent for non-Korean, non-Chinese degrees
THE BANK BALANCE IS 20,000,000 WON OR USD 16,000, issued within 30 days before the application opens and kept until admission; abroad in your or a parent's name, in Korea in your own name at a Korean bank. Current Inha language or undergraduate students changing status show 10,000,000. Uzbek nationals: a Korean bank branch locally with at least a one-month deposit.
Application fee 105,000 won. Entrance fee 1,041,000 won in the first semester; private insurance 40,000 won for six months on the invoice.
Dormitory 2 four-person room: 969,000 won management for four months plus 70 meals 371,000, total 1,340,000 (2026); new international students may use this room type only.
Assistantships: LA1 1,100,000 (master's) or 1,450,000 (PhD) a month up to LA3 2,100,000 or 2,450,000; TA 1,100,000 or 1,450,000; apply to your adviser before each semester.

All requirements
- A bachelor's (master's or integrated) or a master's (PhD) held or expected before the semester starts. Type A: both parents non-Korean (no Korean dual nationals); Type B: a foreigner or overseas Korean schooled entirely outside Korea
- THESE RULES ARE FROM THE FALL 2026 GUIDE, the newest published; the Spring 2027 international guide is due after 12 October 2026 and may change them
- The graduate school's domestic notice gives 19 October to 6 November 2026 for Korean applicants; international dates differed from domestic ones in Fall 2026, so wait for the international guide
- KOREAN (departments marked Korean): TOPIK or TOPIK IBT 3, or institute level 4, or King Sejong intermediate 4A; departments asking TOPIK 4 or 5 need institute level 5 or 6 (Financial Management, Korean Literature, Urban Regeneration)
- KOREAN OR ENGLISH (most engineering, science, medicine, MIS, Sustainability Management, Smart Governance, Green Finance): the Korean rule, or TOEFL iBT 71, TOEIC 700, IELTS 5.5 or New TEPS 327
- Also accepted there: a degree from, or the nationality of, the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, India, Singapore or South Africa (with an English interview); this route earns no Jeongseok scholarship
- ENGLISH ONLY: Business Administration (Digital Business) and the Program in Smart Governance Policy (ITPM and E-Governance)
- Medicine applicants secure an Inha Medicine adviser first and file that professor's recommendation. Not recruiting in Fall 2026: Mathematics, Statistics and Data Science, Visual Arts, English, Social Work, Urban Planning and others marked X
- Course length: master's and PhD two years plus, integrated four years plus
