What can I study?
- Division of Global Liberal Studies (new in Spring 2027; major chosen in year two; TOPIK 2 entry with a paid first-year intensive Korean course)
- Korean Language and Culture (TOPIK 5 to graduate)
Published by Inha University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- Printed application form with a 3.5 x 4.5 cm photo, the Overseas Schools Information Form (Korean high schools exempt) and the Letter of Agreement for the academic background check
- Language proof: TOPIK or TOPIK IBT, institute completion or King Sejong certificate; TOEFL iBT or IELTS for the English track
- High school diploma (or expected graduation certificate) and transcripts with full marks, apostilled or consul-confirmed; China: CHSI reports plus the Gaokao report or a non-implementation certificate
- Transfers: university diploma or expected-graduation certificate and transcripts, apostilled or consul-confirmed (China: CHSI verification or CDGDC report plus an apostilled transcript)
- Family register or birth certificate with notarised translation (China: hukou copy plus notarised kinship certificate), and passports of you and both parents (national ID if no passport)
- Portfolio for Arts and Sports, Physical Education and Design Technology
THE BANK BALANCE IS 20,000,000 WON (USD 16,000), issued within 30 days of the application start and kept until admission, filed by admitted students with the Certificate of Admission request by the tuition deadline. Parents' accounts are accepted (siblings only if parents cannot); applicants changing visa inside Korea use their own name; funds raised in Korea do not count. 10,000,000 (USD 8,000) for D-4 language students in Korea; Uzbek nationals USD 16,000 at a KDB Bank branch; permanent residents and F-visa holders exempt.
Application fee 150,000 won online, not refundable except for overpayment, a university error, disaster, hospitalisation or death; from abroad through Flywire on request to [email protected].
Dormitory: every international freshman who applies in time gets a place; Dormitory 2 four-person room 1,340,000 won a semester with one weekday meal (Spring 2026 basis); early move-out penalty 100,000. Private insurance is compulsory for the first six months.
Tuition is not printed in the handbook: the 2026 fee table's column for foreigners admitted outside the quota is used, by band name only. 2027 figures are not published.

All requirements
- You and BOTH parents are non-Korean, with the foreign citizenship gained before you entered high school; Korean dual nationals cannot apply
- You graduated (or will) from high school, or can prove schooling above that level. The guide prints no GED or homeschooling rule
- KOREAN TRACK: TOPIK or TOPIK IBT 3 (transfers 4), or institute level 4 (transfers 5), or King Sejong intermediate 4A, or a level the admissions office accepts as equal. Institute certificates count for two years
- ENGLISH TRACK (SGCS International Business and Trade, Integrated System Engineering, 100% English): IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT 71 (4 on the new scale for tests after 21 January 2026)
- English track details: TOEFL MyBest and IELTS One Skill Retake accepted, Home Edition and IELTS Indicator not; nationals of countries where English is the first or an official language are exempt
- SGCS Global Liberal Studies (new in Spring 2027): TOPIK 2 or institute level 3, plus a compulsory first-year intensive Korean course of about 1,500,000 won a year, not refunded even if you reach TOPIK 3 later; TOPIK 3 entrants are exempt
- Selection is 100% on documents with no fixed quota; high home-country exam scores such as the Gaokao get priority. TOPIK 4 is needed to graduate (Korean Language and Culture: TOPIK 5)
- Transfers: year 2 after one year and 32 credits at a four-year university or a foreign junior college degree; year 3 after two years and 65 credits or a junior college degree. GLOBA English-track transfers only via a partner university
- Not open to international freshmen: Medicine, Law, and any department missing from the recruitment table. Nursing, Architecture (five years) and Physical Education (three places) take Spring applicants only
- TUBERCULOSIS TEST for nationals of China, Sri Lanka, Russia, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Nepal, Indonesia, Pakistan, Mongolia, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia, Malaysia, East Timor, Kyrgyzstan and Laos (Korean list)
