What do I need?
- Application form, with the self-introduction, study plan and financial confirmation filled in
- Copy of your passport, valid past the first day of the semester
- Your highest diploma (high school or higher) and transcripts, with an original apostille or Korean consular confirmation on a copy. Do not send the original diploma
- Bank statement of more than 8,000,000 won in your name or a parent's, issued within one month, with the money deposited for over 3 months
- Family relationship certificate, if the account is a parent's
- Two ID photos, 3.5 x 4.5 cm, taken within 3 months
- If it applies: employment records, papers explaining a gap of more than a year since school, earlier study in Korea, your TOPIK certificate
ALREADY IN KOREA ON ANOTHER VISA? You send less: the form, your diploma, your passport or alien registration card, proof of insurance and 2 photos.
Jeju reviews your documents and may interview you. Then you pay, receive the Certificate of Admission, and apply for your visa.

- You have finished high school or higher
- FROM A COUNTRY ON THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE LISTS? If your highest diploma is from high school, you must have graduated within the last 2 years, unless you hold a TOPIK certificate. Jeju prints the lists as: Ghana, Nigeria, Nepal, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Iran, Egypt, India, Indonesia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Thailand, Pakistan and Peru (its "21 countries" list shows 20 names), and Guinea, Mali, Ethiopia, Uganda and Cameroon
- A semester is 400 class hours, taught on weekday mornings in two halves of 200 hours
- Applicants from outside the OECD and China apply about two months earlier than everyone else
- Jeju has not published its spring 2027 dates yet. Last spring the window closed on 31 December, and on 28 November for applicants from outside the OECD and China
- Level 4 here, with 90% attendance and an average of 70, replaces TOPIK for most Jeju undergraduate majors, but not for Data Science, Computer Engineering, Biotechnology, Korean Language Education or Computer Education
- You pay after you receive an individual invoice, by transfer in your own name
