- Transcripts. If yours shows no GPA or percentile, add a letter from your university explaining its grading (Form 2)
- Apostille or Korean embassy verification of your degree (some countries use a national verification report instead, see the guide)
- Proof of language where your department asks for it, issued in the last two years
- Birth or family relationship certificate and copies of both parents' passports; or, if you studied entirely abroad, every diploma from primary school up and an entry and exit record
- Copy of your passport, and your residence card if you live in Korea
- Bank balance certificate of 16,000,000 won or more (about USD 13,000)
- Arts, and Design and Manufacturing: portfolio or performance recording
- Certificate of enrollment or completion of a graduate program, if applicable
- Sent an expected-graduation certificate? Hand the original degree or graduation certificate to the Office of International Affairs by 19 February 2027, or the admission is cancelled
YOU APPLY ONLINE, THEN POST THE PAPERS to the Office of International Affairs. If they cannot arrive in time, email scans to admissiong@jbnu.ac.kr by the deadline and post the originals later.
SPRING 2027 (guide of 28 September 2026): round 1 online 21 September to 2 October 2026, papers by 12 October, results 13 November; round 2 online 9 to 20 November, papers by 27 November, results 6 January 2027.
The fee is 80,000 won, paid online.
BANK BALANCE: in Korea, your own Korean account, issued within 30 days of the visa application; 8,000,000 won if you already hold a Korean degree or are a D-4 language student. From abroad, yours or a parent's.
Your department can issue a Jeonbuk scholarship certificate in place of the bank statement if it recommends you.
Documents in any other language need a translation. One that is not notarised or made by a translation company needs Jeonbuk's translator form (Form 3).
