What do I need?
- Application form (with your real signature) and self-introduction with study plan (signed or sealed), on the school's forms
- Final school graduation certificate and transcript, translated into English, with an apostille or consular confirmation
- University enrolment or graduation certificate and transcript, only if you study or studied at a university
- Certificate of study or work since high school (name, address, period): required if you are not at a university now AND left high school more than 6 months ago
- Financial guarantor's employment and income certificates (company, job, salary, work address and phone; notarised English translation) and the financial support pledge (school form)
- Bank balance certificate (see the notes); family relation certificate (notarised English translation); passport copy; photo 3.5 x 4.5 cm, white background
- Letter of guarantee (school form), only when the guarantor is linked to KMOU (an international student or a Korean)
THE BANK BALANCE IS 8,000,000 WON OR MORE, kept 3 months or more, issued within 30 days of the application date, in a parent's, your own or a Korean family member's name (Korean guide).
If you and your financial guarantor are not on the same family register, add a family relation certificate (notarised English translation); a divorce or death certificate where a parent is missing from it.
Application fee 100,000 won, charged to admitted applicants only and not refunded. Pay to the institute's NongHyup Bank (KMOU branch) account printed in the guide; overseas transfer charges are yours.
If bank charges or the exchange rate leave the payment short, pay the rest before the admission letter and visa; an overpayment is refunded to your account after you arrive.
Papers differ by applicant type and nationality: check them with the office before the final submission. Missing papers fail. The school may phone your guarantor's company to confirm the employment certificate.
Dormitory 900,000 won for 6 months or 1,800,000 won for a year; meals extra and optional. The course page estimates meals at about 1,350,000 won for 6 months.
Textbooks extra: 70,000 to 80,000 won for 6 months (course page, "subject to change").
After payment the school issues the standard admission letter for the D-4 visa application. Ask the embassy in advance about D-4 papers and timing; a delay that cancels the admission is the applicant's responsibility.

- Insurance: private cover for the first 6 months (about 60,000 won), then National Health Insurance, 80,000 won a month (Korean guide; the English guide and the course page print other figures)
