A scholarship below can remove the tuition line.
What can I study?
- Department of Ocean Sports Science (해양스포츠과학과)
Published by Korea Maritime & Ocean University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- Application form with the personal-data consent (form 1) and the self-introduction and study plan replacement form (form 2: up to 10 school activities, 50 characters each)
- Use the forms posted as separate files on the notice of 2 September 2026; the forms inside the guide are samples
- Type A: high school graduation (or expected) certificate and high school transcript. Type B: certificates and transcripts for primary, middle and high school
- Schooling proof with an apostille or consular confirmation (originals are not returned; if one cannot be reissued, a copy with an apostille or consular confirmation). Schools in China: see the notes
- TOPIK report (valid on the deadline) or a Korean course completion certificate
- Type A: nationality proof of you and both parents (passport, alien card or ID copies) and a government family-relation document, notarised translation, original
- Type B: your ID copy (passport or alien card), a certificate of entry and exit (출입국사실증명서) and the power of attorney for it (form 3)
- Financial proof (see the notes), with the parents' employment and income certificates, or business registration and tax certificates, notarised
THE BANK BALANCE IS 16,000,000 WON OR MORE, deposited 1 month or more: an original certificate in your own name, or in a parent's name with the parent's employment, income or tax certificate (or a business registration copy).
Or a scholarship certificate from your government or an agency; if the scholarship is under 16,000,000 won, add more financial proof. Issued within 30 days of filing; one with a printed validity counts until then, up to 6 months from issue.
Financial papers filed for admission cannot be reused for the visa or anything else (guide note). The amount may change each year with immigration rules.
No application fee (전형료: 없음). Results 27 January 2027 10:00 (tentative, "예정"), by individual contact. Tuition 28 January 09:00 to 2 February 16:00, within bank hours.
Admits read the "합격자 유의 사항" notice on the university site and pay as it says; not registering in the period cancels the place. A tuition refund is asked through the admissions site (registration withdrawal and refund).
Expected graduates must add the confirmed graduation certificate before the semester starts, or the admission is cancelled.
Schools in China, as printed: general high school graduates file the CHSI (chsi.com.cn) high school report (中国高等教育学历认证报告); (junior) college graduates file the CHSI college report.
China, vocational or secondary vocational school graduates, as printed: a school certificate confirmed by the provincial education office and the Korean consulate in China, or a provincial education office certificate confirmed by the Korean consulate.
Dormitory, a semester, 2026 second-semester rates with meals: Achi Hall single 1,411,020 to 1,828,420; Ara Hall double 1,146,080 to 1,563,480; Hyecho Hall double 1,338,880 to 1,756,280 won, by meal plan. Rates may change each semester.
Dormitory applicants hand in a tuberculosis test result after admission. About 150 places a semester are kept for international students and freshmen come first (undated housing page).
Same housing page: first-semester applications in late January through the Total Information System; stay late February to late June; pay and file the medical report in the first week of March.
Papers are not returned, but the guide's applicant notes say an original that cannot be reissued, such as a graduation certificate, is returned after selection.

All requirements
- TYPE A: you and both parents hold foreign nationality. If you gained it by immigration or adoption, all of you must have held it before you began high-school-level study
- Type A also: you cannot apply if you or either parent is a dual national holding Korean nationality, or if you hold Korean nationality on the application date because your parents naturalised
- If divorce, remarriage, unmarried parents or death stops you filing both parents' papers, file official proof (for example a divorce, death or birth certificate, or a single-parent certificate)
- TYPE B: a foreigner who finished ALL schooling equal to Korean primary and secondary school (12 years) abroad
- SCHOOLING: 12 years. All of it in one country counts; 12 or more years across two or more countries counts, 11 or fewer does not. An 11-year system counts only with its last 3 years in one country
- Years short of 12 can be made up with university years in that country. School-leaving exams (검정고시), homeschooling and cyber learning are NOT accepted. International schools in Korea count only if founded under the foreign-school rules
- KOREAN: TOPIK 3 or higher, or level 3 or higher of a regular course at a Korean university language institute (completed). TOPIK must still be valid on the application deadline. No other route is printed
- There is no English track and no English route: every unit asks Korean. The guide does not print the teaching language
- Selection: an interview only, 100 points (character 40, fit for the major 40, potential 20); 60 or more passes. In Korea face to face; abroad a recorded or video interview
- Bring your ID (alien registration card, passport and so on) and the application ticket (수험표) to the interview. Scores are not disclosed
- Online steps on studyinkorea.go.kr: sign up and log in, fill in the form in order, a payment step (the guide prints the application fee as none), print the ticket and check its number, then send the papers
- One unit only. After you apply you cannot change the unit or type, or cancel. Places are not limited (outside the quota)
- TUITION a semester, 2026 rates (may change): 1,792,000 humanities and social; 2,147,000 marine science, Ocean Sports Science, Data Science; 2,248,000 maritime sciences and all other engineering
- No undergraduate entrance fee is printed. The guide prints no period; the finance office's 2026 international table (정원 외 외국인 일반과정) gives the same amounts per semester
- Undated international page: you need TOPIK 4 or higher before graduation to complete the degree (not printed in the guide)
- Enrolling at two schools for the same intake cancels the place. Moving between Korean schools at the same degree level can be limited by your total stay: ask first. A refused visa cancels the place and tuition is refunded
- Transfers: the newest transfer guide is Fall 2026 (closed 1 June 2026), and the notice board shows transfer guides for fall intakes only. This Spring 2027 guide is for freshmen
