What can I study?

Published by Konkuk University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.

What do I need?

• Online application on jinhakapply.com (GLOCAL campus); Korean proof (not for Global Studies); portfolio of at least three works for Design
• High school transcript and graduation certificate (China: CHSI reports; elsewhere notarised translation plus apostille or consular legalisation); transfers add university records
• Birth or family relationship certificate issued within a year (notarised translation); national IDs of you and both parents; passports valid to at least 1 April 2027; ARC if you have one

THE BANK BALANCE IS 16,000,000 WON for general admission (8,000,000 a year for Regional Specialized Visa students); the guide prints no timing or account-holder rule for it.

Application fee 100,000 won plus a 7,000 Jinhak service fee, not refundable. The first semester adds a 187,000 admission fee.

Dormitory (Spring 2026 basis, a semester): Mosirae Hall three-person 1,876,000 or two-person 1,897,000 won with three meals a day; Haeoreum Hall four-person 1,634,000 or three-person 1,655,000 with five meals a week.

All requirements

• You and both parents foreign nationals; a regular 12-year school curriculum (equivalency exams, homeschooling, online programmes and language institutes do not count)
• KOREAN, one of: TOPIK 3; a pass on the Konkuk GLOCAL Korean Language Test; level 3 of the Korean program at the campus institute (the Seoul institute counts); Sejong Korean Language Assessment intermediate
• Below that level you may get CONDITIONAL ADMISSION and take one or two semesters of the university Korean program first (2,400,000 won a semester, not on the transcript). TOPIK 4 or the university test to graduate
• THE FALL 2026 GUIDE IS THE NEWEST: its rounds (20 April to 8 May and 22 June to 8 July 2026) are closed; the Spring 2027 guide was not posted on 26 September 2026 (the 2026 one appeared in mid-October 2025); check int.kku.ac.kr
• Selection: document review and interview, 100 points (Zoom from abroad). Regional Specialized Visa programmes (Medicinal Biosciences, Food and Nutrition, Beauty Cosmetics) need prior enquiry and TOPIK 3
• Transfers: year 2 after a junior college or one year with a quarter of the credits, year 3 after two years with half, year 4 with a three-year associate degree (Nursing, Early Childhood Education and Medicine are not open)
