What do I need?
- Passport copy and two 3 x 4 cm photos
- Final diploma or degree with apostille or consular certification
- Study plan and self-introduction; health insurance proof
- Bank statement and, if any, a financial guarantee from a Korean sponsor
THE BANK BALANCE IS USD 10,000 OR MORE in your or a parent's name, kept for six to twelve months depending on the country (the English page says shown for twelve months).
Tuition 1,800,000 won a term, may change every March; application fee 150,000; paid to the university's Shinhan Bank account.
Dormitory KU:L House two-person room, six months: about 3,130,000 won plus a 200,000 deposit (2026); meals 3,900 won each.

All requirements
- No application deadlines are printed: e-mail or phone the institute first (regional desks by continent); a D-4 visa takes over a month from receipt of the documents, so apply well ahead of the placement test
- Term dates: Winter 2026 2 December to 15 February (placement 9 November); Spring 2027 3 March to 12 May (placement 10 February); Summer 2 June to 11 August; Fall 1 September to 18 November; Winter 2027 1 December to 14 February 2028
- D-4: enrol for at least six months, then extend in three- or six-month units, two years in total
- Refunds for D-4 students deduct an 800,000 won administrative fee before the refund rule applies (since 1 August 2022)
- Level 3 here replaces TOPIK for a Konkuk Seoul degree; levels 3 to 6 earn 30, 50, 70 or 100% off the first semester and two terms add 500,000 won
