What do I need?

• Application form printed from the online system; your passport; both parents' passports or national IDs (notarised)
• Family relation or birth certificate with notarised translation and apostille or consular certification (China: hukou or kinship certificate plus CHSI reports); divorce, remarriage or death papers if relevant
• High school diploma and full transcript: overseas schools notarised translation plus apostille or consular certification; Korean schools the student record for college admissions; a grade-scale document
• Language proficiency proof; national exam proof if you have one; optional awards, qualifications or internships
• Art and Design: portfolio. Veterinary Medicine, PE, Music Education, Liberal Studies: the dean's approval letter. Recommendation letters and personal statements are not accepted

THE BANK BALANCE IS 20,000,000 WON OR MORE, filed AFTER tuition (Fall 2026: 1 to 14 July), issued within about 30 days. In Korea: a Korean bank in your own name, no freeze. In China: a Chinese bank in your or a parent's name, frozen until after the semester starts. Elsewhere: an overseas bank, no freeze. F-visa holders exempt.

Application fee 150,000 won (Art and Design freshmen 180,000) for the first choice plus 20,000 for an optional second choice; agents register on the application site.

The first-semester tuition includes a 187,000 won registration fee. Scholarships are already deducted on the invoice; pay by WeChat Pay, PayPal, Flywire or virtual account.

Dormitory KU:L House, two-person room: 1,914,000 won for a semester (September to December) or 2,847,000 for six months, plus a 200,000 deposit; meals from 395,000 for 79 meals.

All requirements

• You, your father and your mother each hold one foreign nationality; Korean dual nationals cannot apply; loss of Korean nationality counts only before the application period
• You finished regular schooling equal to Korean primary, middle and high school. A GED, correspondence or online programmes, lifelong education and language courses are NOT recognised
• KOREAN (all majors but two): TOPIK 3; level 3 on the Konkuk Korean Language Test (70,000 won, online); level 3 at the Konkuk Language Institute or an IEQAS-certified institute; King Sejong 3B; or other proof at the school's discretion
• ENGLISH: Computer Software (English only) TOEFL iBT 71, IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2 or New TEPS 327; International Commerce and Business takes either the Korean or the English list, and the school assigns the track
• NO SPRING 2027 GUIDE WAS ONLINE ON 26 SEPTEMBER 2026; the Fall 2026 guide is the newest. Spring 2026 ran 4 to 11 September and 6 to 20 November 2025, so check ciss.konkuk.ac.kr for the 2027 dates
• Selection: documents 750 points plus language 250; Art and Design adds a pass or fail portfolio (five original A4 pencil drawings; Media Acting a Korean acting video). School-violence records cut the score
• Veterinary Medicine, Physical Education, Music Education and the KU School of Liberal Studies need the dean's prior approval letter; native English speakers cannot apply to English Education; Medicine is not open
• Transfers: two years of a four-year university with half the credits, or a junior college degree; the International College now takes transfers too
