What can I study?

Published by Konyang University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.

What do I need?

• Master's: bachelor's graduation (or expected) certificate and transcript (transfer students add the earlier transcript; Medicine: the main-course transcript only). Expected graduates add the degree certificate before classes start
• PhD: master's graduation (or expected) certificate and transcript, and a study and research plan. A research list if you have one. Expected graduates add the degree certificate before classes start
• International applicants: self-introduction and study plan, a recommendation on the foreigner form, your passport copy and copies of your parents' home-country IDs
• Bank balance certificate of you or your financial guarantor (see the notes), and a TOPIK 3 or higher report
• Family relation proof with a notarised Korean translation (the guide's examples by country are in the notes)
• Foreign degrees: certificate and transcript with a notarised Korean translation, plus an apostille, a consular confirmation or (degrees from China) a CHSI degree report
• PhD Nursing applicants: a nursing bachelor's graduation (or expected) certificate. PhD applicants claiming a scholarship: the employment or family relation certificate its rules ask for

THE BANK BALANCE IS 16,000,000 WON OR MORE, in your own or your financial guarantor's name, on the application date. Konyang students graduating in February 2027 and moving up may show half.

Application fee 60,000 won, paid when you apply. Refunded if you cancel inside the window; after it (before the interview) only for a valid reason; and if the school cancels the admission.

The same guide's applicant notes also say papers, once received, cannot be withdrawn and the fee is not refunded (전형료 환불 불가). Ask the Graduate School before you count on a refund.

Family relation papers, examples printed by country: China 호구부 or 친속관계공증; Vietnam 호적부 (So Ho Khau) or 출생증명서 (Giay khai sinh); Indonesia 가족관계증명서 (KARTU KELUARGA); Pakistan Family Certificate.

Myanmar 가족관계증명서 (잉타웅수사옌); Nepal 전마달다; Mongolia 친족관계증명서; Philippines Family Census; Sri Lanka 빠울러 서티피케이트.

Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Thailand 출생증명서; Bangladesh 점머 까꺼즈 or 점마싸이드티켕 (examples as printed).

ENTRANCE FEE 600,000 WON, ONCE, on top of the semester tuition (수업료). The amounts are 2026 rates; 2027 tuition is set in February 2027.

Scholarship papers (for example the TOPIK report) must go in with the application papers; a reduction missed on the bill for lack of papers is your loss (prospectus wording).

Dormitory: not printed in the graduate guide. The dormitory office's 2026 table: Medical Campus 710,000 to 1,490,000 a semester, Glocal Campus 600,000 to 1,590,000.

All requirements

• International (정원 외) applicants: you and both parents hold foreign nationality, or you did schooling and university abroad equal to Korea's. Other foreigners apply through the general (domestic) admission
• Master's: a bachelor's held or due by the end of February 2027. PhD: a master's held or due by the end of February 2027
• TOPIK 3 OR HIGHER. With TOPIK 3 you must reach TOPIK 4 during your studies to receive the degree. No English route is printed for the General Graduate School
• Selection: documents 20% (60 points) and an interview 80% (240 points) on major knowledge, aptitude and research drive. Applicants who live abroad and cannot attend may apply for a video interview, sending proof by e-mail
• Interview 16 December 2026: PhD 14:00, master's 15:00 (planned; a department may set its own day). Missing it is a fail
• Course length: PhD 3 years (6 semesters), master's 2 years (4 semesters), nurse specialist courses 2.5 years (5 semesters). Theses are required; some master's departments allow a replacement
• A department with fewer than 2 to 5 applicants may not run. Results are only on the graduate homepage (합격자 조회); there is no individual notice
• Special graduate schools (master's only; the FAQ calls them continuing education for working adults) also take international applicants with TOPIK 3. Only their English-track department has a row here
• Special graduate schools' tuition (2026 rates): 3,330,000 humanities, 3,828,000 natural sciences, 3,829,000 engineering; plus the 600,000 entrance fee once
