What do I need?
- Application form (school form, typed, every item filled; write "해당없음" if none); passport copy; home-country ID copy (front and back)
- Family relation (birth) certificate proving the parents and you; papers for separated records (death, divorce)
- 5 photos, 4.5 x 3.5 cm, white background, Ministry of Justice standard; scans of passport and photo as JPG files
- Final schooling certificate and transcript with consular authentication, originals, issued within 6 months; only from the bodies the Ministry of Justice names
- China (Q4 guide): schooling earned in China needs the credential report of the Chinese education ministry's certification centre. University graduates: the degree report, or a ministry-certified graduation certificate showing the degree
- China, high school: general schools, the gaokao score report or the huikao pass certificate or score report (each ministry-certified) with the school's graduation certificate; vocational schools, a ministry-certified graduation certificate
- Korea study expenses deposit confirmation (한국 유학경비 보증금 예치 확인서), original, issued within 3 months (see the notes for the bank rules)
- Guarantor's financial papers (annual income, property tax, employment), issued within 3 months; a career certificate if you graduated more than 6 months ago
- TB certificate (from high-risk countries) and measles vaccination certificate, issued within 3 months; bring them when you enter
Bank rule as printed in the Q4 table: "베트남, 캄보디아 : 우리은행만 인정", "우즈베키스탄 : KDB 만 인정". A later paragraph of the same guide names only Uzbekistan (KDB) and Vietnam (Woori Bank).
Bank amount: the Q4 guide prints none. The undated admission page says USD 5,000 or more, frozen for 6 months, issued within 30 days of the visa application.
First invoice (sample dated 22 April 2026 inside the Q4 guide, and the May 2026 leaflet): tuition 4 quarters x 1,100,000; application fee 100,000; entrance fee 100,000; dormitory 670,000 for 10 weeks; airport pickup 50,000; total 5,320,000 won.
The guide warns that invoice amounts can change. After the first 10 weeks the dormitory is paid in Korea. Textbooks and cultural activities are not on the invoice.
The undated admission page prints older figures: 4,400,000 a year, dormitory 910,000 (15 weeks), insurance 150,000 (6 months, actual cost), total 5,660,000. The dated invoice is used here.
Refunds (visa refusal or withdrawal) by e-mail with the refund form, an ID copy and a bankbook copy.

All requirements
- High school graduates within 2 years of graduating, with 70 out of 100 or more (vocational high schools and similar not accepted), or university graduates within 2 years, with 3.0 out of 4.5 or more
- At most 5 absences in your school record (up to 10 accepted with a written reason), no visa problems, and a check of any past visa refusal (visa.go.kr). Rules for particular countries: ask the office
- FEES: 1,100,000 won a quarter (200 hours); the first invoice bills one year (4 quarters, 4,400,000) up front. 2027 fees are not posted, and the guide says invoice amounts can change
- ONE YEAR (4 QUARTERS) IS COMPULSORY. Each quarter is 10 weeks and 200 hours. The invoice bills 4 quarters, the application fee, the entrance fee, the first 10 weeks of dormitory and airport pickup together
- How to apply: online form (kyuklc.uway.com), scans and the school's Excel form to konyang.apply@gmail.com, then an interview (in person or on Zoom), an invoice, payment through FLYWIRE, and the originals by post
- Interviews: effort matters more than your Korean; a self-introduction under 1 minute, or resting your chin or folding your arms, fails (guide wording)
- Arrival only on the designated days, with an airport pickup; you cannot enter on your own. Book a flight landing at Incheon on the morning of that day. You can arrive up to 2 weeks after the start; missing the day can cancel the admission
- Visa (undated admission page): the visa number is issued inside Korea for 중국, 쿠바, 시리아, 마케도니아, 코소보 (China, Cuba, Syria, Macedonia, Kosovo); everyone else applies at the Korean consulate at home
- Winter 2026 (quarter 4), now closed: applications 1 September to 10 October 2026; originals and tuition by 21 October; admission letter by 30 October; entry 27 November or 11 December; classes from 30 November 2026 to 5 February 2027
- Q4 notice: a compulsory orientation camp (동기유발) on 13 and 14 December 2026; missing it counts as absence. An optional TOPIK class runs 13:30 to 14:20, 2 to 3 times a week (leaflet)
- All new quarter-4 students are in the afternoon class (Q4 guide). The same guide: "2008년생 베트남 지원자를 제외한 지원자는 현지 면접 합격 이후 온라인 지원 가능" (as printed: the online application follows a local interview)
- Q4 guide: English-track candidates (영어트랙예정자) from Nepal, Bangladesh and Uzbekistan need CEFR B1 or higher, as printed
- Visas issued after 10 December 2026, or originals that arrive late, move you to the next quarter (the papers can be reused)
- The notice of 25 November 2025 said that, for now, applications made individually are hard to accept (개인적으로 접수되는 경우 당분간 받기 어려움). Ask the office before you apply
- 2026 quarters (leaflet): 9 March to 15 May; 8 June to 14 August; 7 September to 13 November; 30 November to 5 February. NO 2027 QUARTER WAS POSTED on 21 October 2026
- Completion: overall attendance 70% or more and an average of 60 or more; below 80% attendance in a term you cannot move up (course page, undated)
- A student who leaves before finishing 4 quarters and changes to a visa other than D-4 gets no tuition refund (exceptions: unavoidable reasons, or entering a Konyang degree)
