What do I need?

• Application form on the school's own form, with a self-introduction, a study plan and a study-cost pledge; 3 photos, 3.5 x 4.5 cm, white background (changing visa status in Korea: not the photo on your alien registration card)
• Passport copy; alien registration card copy if you are in Korea; ID copies (front and back) of you and both parents
• Family relation certificate as a notarised Korean or English translation (original); a divorce or death certificate if the family is separated
• Final school graduation certificate, original with consular authentication or an apostille, issued within 6 months. Korean high school graduates: school record and graduation certificate
• Chinese nationals: general high schools, a CHSI (学信网) certificate; vocational, arts and international high schools, an apostille on (1) the school's government approval copy and (2) a school or education-authority graduation certificate
• Final school transcript with consular authentication or an apostille, issued within 6 months. GKS scholars may hand in the papers from their first scholarship application
• Employment and income certificates of one parent, as the financial guarantor of the application form (GKS scholars exempt)
• Bank balance certificate (see the notes; GKS scholars exempt). TOPIK report (Korean track) or one English score report (English track)
• Students of another school's Korean course: completion or enrolment certificate and transcript with attendance (Konyang Korean course students do not file this)
• Dormitory residents: TB test certificate and measles vaccination certificate, issued within 3 months

THE BANK BALANCE IS 16,000,000 WON OR MORE (8,000,000 won for students of Konyang's own Korean course). Issued within the last 3 months; the English guide says 1 month, the Korean governs.

Bank: the original is preferred; otherwise a notarised copy checked against the original. Admitted students re-issue it and file it again by the registration deadline. Applicants in Korea: only their own Korean account counts.

Originals are the rule for every paper. If you cannot send an original, send a copy marked as checked against it (원본대조필), by the office or with the issuing body's stamp.

APPLICATION FEE: not printed in the Fall 2026 guide, its English version or the Spring 2026 guide. Ask the office.

ENTRANCE FEE: none is printed in the guide. The undated scholarship page lists a full entrance-fee (입학금) waiver for partner-university students, Konyang Korean course graduates and NIIED overseas Korean course (재외동포 국내교육과정) graduates, so ask.

Dormitory, a semester (dormitory office 2026 table): Glocal Campus halls 600,000 (4 to a room) to 1,590,000 (single); Medical Campus halls 710,000 (3 to a room) to 1,490,000 (single). Meals are not stated.

Rooms are by hall and sex: for example Glocal 봉소학사 (men) 600,000 to 1,290,000, 구연학사 (women) 940,000 or 1,590,000; Medical 청림학사 and 간호학사 (women) 710,000 or 940,000, 담곡학사 (men) 940,000 or 1,490,000.

If admission fraud is found, or a visa is refused, the admission is cancelled and the student record removed (guide wording).

All requirements

• You and both your parents hold foreign nationality. You have finished high school in Korea or abroad (or will before entry), or hold a schooling level the law treats as equal
• KOREAN TRACK (every unit; the International College also has an English track): TOPIK 3 or higher, PBT or IBT; the speaking test does not count. No substitute is printed in the Fall 2026 guide
• The guide adds that departments differ and that health and engineering units may ask for TOPIK 4 or higher: check with the department before you apply
• ENGLISH TRACK (International College only): one of IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 72 or 4 (for tests from 21 January 2026 the 4 applies), CEFR B2, NEW TEPS 327, as printed
• Every unit except the International College is taught in Korean only (English guide)
• Tuition: the Fall 2026 table prints one amount per unit with no year label and no "a semester" wording; the Spring 2026 guide calls the same column one semester's tuition (한 학기 등록금)
• Selection is pass or fail on documents and an interview. The interview checks character, potential and fit for the major, by 2 or 3 interviewers; a fail in any one area, or missing the interview, means a fail
• Interview: bring an alien registration card, a Korean driving licence, a valid passport or an alien registration certificate; without ID, or arriving after the interview starts, you cannot sit it
• School violence records: measures 1 to 3 are weighed in the document review; measures 4 to 9 disqualify
• Places: no limit (제한 없음). Applications and papers go in person or by post to the International Education Team, Konyang Hall 4th floor, Glocal Campus, Nonsan
• If you are enrolled at another university you must leave it before you register. Papers are not returned
• Transfers have their own Fall 2026 guide: year 2 or 3 after one or two finished years with the required credits; year 4 after a 3-year college course. TOPIK 3, except for the 외국인특별과정 (special course)
• The transfer guide has its own unit list and tuition table (not the same units as this row), and selects by earlier university grades 70% and an interview 30%. Check that guide for your unit
• THE FALL 2026 GUIDE IS THE NEWEST ON THIS ROUTE. Both rounds closed (30 April and 6 July 2026) and no Spring 2027 guide was posted on 21 October 2026
• Timing hint only: the Spring 2026 guide came out on 18 November 2025 with applications from 8 to 26 December 2025 and results on 16 January 2026. Watch the international office notice board
• The Spring 2026 guide also took the Ministry of Justice integration programme (level 3), Sejong Institute intermediate 1 and others instead of TOPIK; the Fall 2026 guide does not. The Spring 2027 guide may differ again
