What do I need?

• Apostilled (expected) graduation certificate and transcript for the bachelor's, and the master's where relevant; apostilled final documents by 24 December 2026 if not sent now
• Study plan and CV
• Proof of language proficiency, or proof of exemption
• Proof of bank balance (20,000,000 won Seoul, 16,000,000 Sejong) or a KU professor's financial support form
• Passport copies of you and your parents, and a family register or relationship certificate
• Recommendation letter for the listed departments, sent by the professor to [email protected]
• Portfolio for Architectural Planning (design) only

Application fee 127,000 won (120,000 plus 7,000 commission).

Tuition table is for the 2026 academic year, master's and PhD identical; the entrance fee is paid once with the first semester.

Dormitory: online application January 2027 through dorm.korea.ac.kr; the guide prints no cost.

All requirements

• You and your parents are non-Korean citizens (same rules as the undergraduate guide), or you hold Korean nationality but did 16 years or more of schooling abroad
• A bachelor's (master's) or master's (PhD) by 28 February 2027, after regular grades 1 to 12
• LANGUAGE, one of: TOPIK 3; TOEFL iBT 71 (3.5 new scale), IELTS 5.5, New TEPS 326 or CEFR B2. Some Korean-language programmes want TOPIK 5 or 6; English is compulsory for business majors; Economics needs both
• EXEMPT from language proof: nationals of the English-speaking countries on the list in the guide (p.3), which covers native and official-language countries in Africa, Asia, the Americas and Europe
• Also exempt: a degree from an English-speaking country or from Korea; a Korean-language degree abroad; a degree taught entirely in English; or a department letter
• THE BANK CERTIFICATE GOES WITH THE APPLICATION: 20,000,000 won (Seoul) or 16,000,000 (Sejong) in your or your parents' name, issued within 30 days, frozen until 28 February 2027; or a KU professor's financial support form
• Selection is 100% documents; a department may hold an oral interview in November. No quota per major
• A recommendation letter is compulsory only for listed departments (business finance, strategy, accounting, some language departments, Life Sciences, Nursing, Education, Sejong departments); the professor sends it
