Published by Korea University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.

What do I need?

• Copy of the online application, statement of purpose, consent and citizenship statement printed from the system
• Passport photo pages of you and your parents
• Family register or relationship certificate (China: notarised Hukoubu issued after 2023 plus a kinship certificate; elsewhere a birth certificate or family register)
• Proof of language: TOPIK report, institute completion certificate, TOEFL or IELTS, or a school letter for Korean or English-medium schooling
• Official high school transcript with an apostille or consular authentication (Korean schools: School Life Records II)
• High school graduation certificate; Chinese applicants add CHSI verification reports
• Art and Design: portfolio (A4, at most ten pages) and a statement of verification
• Optional, at most ten items: school profile, test scores, awards

THE BANK BALANCE: the Spring 2027 guide asks admitted students for "proof of bank balance" for the D-2 visa and prints no amount. The Fall 2026 guide said 20,000,000 won or more.

Application fee 150,000 won (200,000 for Art and Design), paid again if you apply to both Admission I and II. The unused part is refunded pro rata by law.

Admitted students get the Certificate of Admission in January 2027 (to be confirmed) after registration and final documents.

All requirements

• You and your parents are non-Korean citizens when you apply; multiple citizenship that includes Korean rules you out. A former Korean must have taken the other citizenship before high school
• You finished regular schooling equivalent to Korean grades 1 to 12 and graduate before February 2027. A GED, homeschooling, online courses or language schools do NOT count
• LANGUAGE PROOF, one of, within two years: a TOPIK report at ANY level; a KU Korean Language Center or other certified institute certificate; Sejong Institute intermediate; TOEFL iBT or IELTS Academic; or schooling in Korean or English
• NO MINIMUM SCORE IS PRINTED. After admission: TOPIK 5 or more, no Korean training; TOPIK 4, one semester of intensive Korean with six major credits; TOPIK 3 or lower, two semesters of Korean with no major courses
• International Studies (English track) needs English proof. Global Open Major (Admission II) assigns your major before year two by language: TOPIK 5 for a Korean-taught major, IELTS 7.0 or TOEFL 100 for an English one
• Selection is 100% documents; no quota per major; school-violence records of Korean high schools count
• Medicine and Nursing take international students in the spring intake only (stated in the Fall 2026 guide). The College of Education takes at most 10% international students
• The next window is Fall 2027: online application in March 2027, dates to be announced on the OIA page
