Published by Kumoh National Institute of Technology. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- Online application form (personal data consent done online), printed and signed, with a 3.5 x 4.5 cm photo and your name as in your passport
- FRESHMEN: high school graduation (or expected) certificate with an apostille or consular confirmation (original), and the 3-year high school transcript. Korean high school graduates: the school record (생활기록부) too
- TRANSFERS: previous college graduation, expected graduation or completion certificate, and the transcript of all years
- Expected graduates and those who sent unconfirmed papers file the apostilled or consular-confirmed final certificate and transcript by 25 February 2027, or the admission is cancelled
- Schooling in China: general high schools, a CHSI report (about 30 days: apply early); vocational high schools, a certificate confirmed by the provincial education office and the Korean consulate (two routes printed); transcripts notarised
- Language score report (original or copy), or the language commitment form (form 4). Alien registration card copy, front and back, if you hold one
- Family relation certificate naming you and both parents (original or notarised translation, translated within 1 year); death or divorce papers if needed; parents' passports if it shows no nationality
- Passport copy (nationality and photo page)
- FINAL ADMITS ONLY: bank balance certificate and, if not in your name, the study expense pledge (form 5). See the notes
THE BANK BALANCE IS 16,000,000 WON OR MORE (KRW16,000,000), in your, your father's or your mother's name. Final admits only; issued within 30 days of filing; filed 12 January to 25 February 2027. Prepare it early.
A parent's certificate needs the signed study expense pledge (form 5). A sibling may sponsor only if there are no parents; no one else. Graduates of the KIT Korean course get separate instructions.
No application fee (전형료 무료). Tuition is paid 5 to 11 January 2027 (applicants paying from abroad get their own period and account). Not paying on time cancels the admission.
The standard admission letter is issued 13 January to 25 February 2027, after tuition and every original paper; by e-mail, in person or by post on request. Classes start 2 March 2027.
If a visa is refused or not issued, the admission is cancelled and tuition is refunded in full, less the transfer charge.

Dormitory, 2026 second-semester rates: Yangho-dong Pureum Hall, 1,060,240 won (no meals), 1,734,830 won (5-day meals) or 1,900,950 won (7-day meals); Sinpyeong-dong Areum Hall A, single room, 1,053,280 won (no meals).
A dormitory only for international students is planned for 2027 to 2029 (guide).
You ask for a dormitory room on the application form itself (yes or no, and no meals, 5-day or 7-day meals; forms 1 and 2). Final admits then arrange visa, dormitory, insurance, course registration and tuition in the set periods.
Notices during selection go on the school sites and, when needed, by e-mail: check your e-mail often. Keep your address, phone and e-mail current; a missed contact is your loss.

All requirements
- You and both parents are foreign nationals, and all three held foreign nationality before you began high-school-level study. Dual nationals holding Korean nationality and stateless persons are not accepted as foreigners
- If a parent is absent through divorce or death, only the supporting parent's nationality counts, with a government document proving it. If you or your parents gave up Korean nationality, file the proof of loss
- FRESHMEN: high school graduates (or graduating). School-leaving exams (검정고시), homeschooling and cyber learning are NOT accepted
- High school must be finished by the day before the semester begins (classes start 2 March 2027). As printed: "해당 국가의 학제상 학년도와 학기 개시일이 우리나라보다 1개월이 늦은 국가(일본 등)는 1개월의 재학예정기간 범위내에서 외국학교 재학 기간만을 예외적으로 초과 인정"
- TRANSFERS (year 3): a 2- or 3-year junior college graduate (or graduating), or 2 years (4 semesters) or more finished at a 4-year university. Foreign universities with another system: half the credits needed for the degree, with proof
- KOREAN, common rule (departments with their own rule excepted), one of: TOPIK 3 or higher; KIT Korean test 3; KIT (or another university's) Korean course level 3; King Sejong intermediate 1 or SKA 3; KIIP stage 3 or pre-test 61
- Some departments set their own Korean level (see the majors list and the Korean line of each row)
- PENDING SCORES: file the language commitment form (form 4) and send the score by 28 December 2026. One line of the guide's document table says 14 December 2026: send it early or ask. Scores must be valid on 28 December
- AFTER ENTRY: without TOPIK 3 you must take the school's Korean classes (English-route students too). Everyone needs TOPIK 4 or higher before graduation
- The guide's other-information page adds that admitted international students take the school's Korean courses, and free Korean courses are also open to them
- Selection: documents, then an interview by the department (100 points; 70 or more passes). In Korea you come to the campus; from abroad it is a video interview. Date and time are sent to you
- Video interview: find a place with a steady internet connection and keep to the time. Missing it because of your own setting counts as a fail. Bring your application ticket and ID
- School-violence measures are counted at the interview stage (points off, or not eligible). For applicants who finished school abroad they may not be counted (guide)
- You or a parent staying in Korea illegally cannot apply. Enrolling at two universities for the same semester cancels the admission
- Admits join student insurance or National Health Insurance at entry and show proof; without it course registration and some scholarships can be refused
- TUITION a semester, 2026 rates (2027 not printed): engineering and the School of REC 1,896,200 won; humanities and social (Business Administration) 1,700,200 won. Entrance fee 0 won
- SEMICONDUCTOR SYSTEM ENGINEERING, TRANSFERS: TOPIK 4 or higher, or one of the other common routes (KIT Korean test 3, Korean course level 3, King Sejong intermediate 1 or SKA 3, KIIP stage 3 or pre-test 61)
- Semiconductor Materials, Components and Equipment takes freshmen only (no transfers)
