What do I need?
- Application form for the Korean Language Course Form
- Study plan, in Korean or English
- Consent form for personal information
- Copy of your passport
- Three passport photos, 3.5 x 4.5 cm, white background
- Original graduation certificate and transcript of your last school, with an apostille or Korean embassy verification
- Original bank statement showing at least USD 10,000 in your or a parent's name, issued within 30 days of applying
- Full birth certificate or family relation certificate
- Your parents' employment and tax payment certificates
- Proof of current work, and any Korean certificate you hold, if you have them
- Tuberculosis certificate with a chest X-ray, if you come from a high-risk country

This list is for applicants abroad who need a D-4 visa. Already hold a visa? KNU asks you to contact the office before applying.
Nothing you send is returned.
KNU prints no 2027 dates yet. Last year, spring applications ran 8 to 19 December.

All requirements
- You finished high school or the equivalent. Foreigners and overseas Koreans can apply
- Four ten-week terms a year, 200 hours each: four hours a day, five days a week
- You need 80% attendance to move up a level
- Books are bought separately, and health insurance is compulsory
- Vietnamese applicants apply through a separate site, lang.knu.ac.kr
- Two terms here earn a KNU undergraduate scholarship later: Tuition Fee 1 waived in your first degree semester
- KNU says more than 90% of its Korean course graduates go on to a KNU degree. That is an outcome, not a promise of a place
