What do I need?

• Application form with the fee receipt and a 3.5 x 4.5 cm photo; passport copy; national ID copy (plus ARC if in Korea)
• Language proof; bachelor's certificate and transcript (Korea originals; China CHSI reports in English; elsewhere apostille or consular authentication with English or notarised translation); PhD applicants the master's too
• Both parents' passports or IDs and a family relationship certificate (China may be asked for a notarised hukou); institute completion papers if any; CV and career certificate; the signed academic verification consent
• Bank balance certificate unless exempt

THE BANK BALANCE IS 16,000,000 WON, in your own name in principle (parents the only other guarantors), issued within 30 days; EXEMPT for OECD nationals (residents of Korea are exempt on one page and told to file on another). Uzbekistan: KDB Bank Tashkent, deposited a month or more.

Application fee 80,000 won or USD 60, waived under agreements and for GKS. Entrance fee 550,000 won once (waived for Kyungsung graduates); insurance 37,000 a semester.

Dormitory (Nuri Hall): 900,000 won a 16-week semester in a two-person room or 700,000 three-person; with the vacation 1,410,000 or 1,110,000.

All requirements

• A bachelor's (master's) or a master's (PhD) held or expected (certificate by the end of August for a Fall intake); both parents foreign nationals, or all your schooling from primary school to university abroad
• KOREAN TRACK: TOPIK or TOPIK IBT 3, or King Sejong intermediate 1, or KIIP 3 (pre-test 61), or institute level 3, or the equivalent (the English guide adds recognition at the interview). Below TOPIK 3: 300 hours of Korean in year one
• ENGLISH TRACK: TOEFL iBT 59 (new scale 3.5) or IELTS 5.5; nationals of English-native or English-official countries and graduates of English-speaking-country schools are exempt
• THE FALL 2026 SECOND-ROUND GUIDE IS THE NEWEST (window 18 May to 5 June 2026, closed). The office says the March intake has two rounds, about September to October and November to December; the Spring 2027 guide is not posted
• Selection: documents 30 points (grades) plus an interview 70 (in person or online)
• Department rules: Law TOPIK 4 or the Kyungsung centre's level 4 class; Business PhD, Chemistry and Pharmacy applicants consult the department first; Physiotherapy TOPIK 5
• Mechanical and Automotive needs a four-year mechanical degree; Music a practical exam; Art ten images; Crafts a same-major degree and portfolio
• The university is a 2025 IEQAS-certified school: simplified visa papers and relaxed financial proof at the consulate's discretion; overseas applicants may use the consulate, an e-visa through the university or a visa issuance certificate
