What do I need?
- Application form (form 1), personal profile (form 2) and self-introduction with study plan (form 3), all handwritten
- Final school diploma and transcript: apostille countries, an apostilled degree proof; others, a Korean or English notarised translation with Korean consular confirmation
- Passport copy (photo page), 3 passport photos, and a home ID copy (front and back)
- Bank balance certificate (see the notes); employment certificates (yours and your parents' if the account is yours; your parents' if it is theirs); parents' ID copies; family relation certificate
THE BANK BALANCE IS 8,000,000 WON OR MORE, in your own or a parent's name, held 3 months or more, issued within 30 days of the visa application (a new one may be asked then).
Printed for named countries, copied whole: "베트남: 한국 유학 경비 보증금 예치증명서 원본 제출"; "우즈베키스탄: 현지 소재 국내 금융기관 발행 잔고증명서".
In English: Vietnam, the original study-expense deposit certificate; Uzbekistan, a balance certificate issued by a Korean financial institution located there.
Costs (2026 guide): application fee 50,000; tuition 5,200,000 for 4 terms (1,300,000 a term), paid in one go; insurance 200,000 a year (settled, then the rest returned); textbooks 70,000 for the first term. Total 5,520,000 won.
Dormitory, paid after arrival: 1,400,000 won or more for 3 months, meals included. New students must live in the dormitory for their first term (3 months).
Paid from someone else's account? E-mail a copy of the transfer record. Overseas transfer charges are yours. Refunds go only to an account in your or a family member's name (family proof needed for a family account).
National Health Insurance is compulsory 6 months after entry; unpaid premiums can block a visa extension or change.

- Foreigners or overseas Koreans with high school graduation or an equal or higher level of schooling (2026 guide)
- New students are placed in the basic class; to start in a higher class you take a test first ("상급반 진급 희망 시 진급 테스트를 거친 후 결정", 2026 guide)
- 2026 terms (2026 guide): spring 3 March to 8 May (new students 23 March to 12 May); summer 1 June to 7 August; fall 1 September to 6 November; winter 1 December 2026 to "26.2.5" as printed (likely 5 February 2027: ask)
- 2026 paper deadlines: spring 23 January; summer 6 March; fall 5 June; winter 4 September. Tuition due 6 February, 3 April, 3 July, 2 October. NO 2027 TERMS OR DEADLINES were posted on 21 October 2026
- An undated schedule page gives only months: papers early December (spring), early March (summer), early June (fall), early September (winter); classes March to May, June to August, September to November, December to February
- Selection: documents (originals must arrive by the deadline or there is no review), then an online interview (in person locally if needed). Results by individual notice, then the tuition invoice
- After payment the school applies for a visa issuance confirmation for the countries printed ("중국, 베트남, 몽골, 우즈베키스탄 등"); applicants from other countries apply at a Korean embassy or consulate
- NEW STUDENTS (D-4) ENROL AND PAY FOR 4 TERMS AT ONCE. After 4 terms, continuing students enrol 2 terms at a time; marriage-visa residents and students of this university may enrol term by term
- Undated pages: from the 5th term tuition drops 30% (910,000 won a term) and terms can be taken one at a time. Promotion needs 80% attendance and 60 points in the mid-term and final exams
- Going on to a degree here: 4 terms finished plus the school's own Korean test meet the undergraduate Korean rule, and the degree bank balance drops to 8,000,000 won (Spring 2027 guide)
- Refunds: before the term or if the visa is refused, everything; within 3 weeks, two thirds of that term plus later terms; within 5 weeks, half plus later terms; after 5 weeks, later terms only. No refund after illegal departure
- Awards each term: the top student of each class with 70% attendance or more, 150,000 won; 100% attendance, 100,000 won (may change). The application fee is not refunded
