Published by Pusan National University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- Application form, printed from the JinhakApply site and signed
- Passport copies for you AND both your parents, none expired
- Family relationship or citizenship certificate, showing you and both parents
- Alien registration card, if you hold one. Required if you already live in Korea
- Personal statement and study plan, handwritten or typed
- Certificate of high school graduation, or of expected graduation
- High school transcript for every year
- Proof of Korean: a TOPIK certificate or a PNU Language Education Institute certificate. Other institutes are not accepted
- Certificate of financial support
- Bank balance certificate, 16,000,000 won or more
- Consent to the collection and use of your personal information
THE VALIDITY WINDOWS ARE DIFFERENT FOR EACH DOCUMENT. Nationality and family certificates: issued within ONE YEAR of 6 November 2026. Graduation certificate and transcript: within SIX MONTHS. Bank balance: within THIRTY DAYS.
The bank balance may be in your name or a parent's. If you or your sponsor live in Korea it must be a Korean bank account, whatever your visa.
Nepalese, Mongolian, Vietnamese and Uzbek applicants must use named banks, deposit the sum by 18 December and send a transaction history by 21 December, or lose their place.
Documents must ARRIVE by the deadline, not be posted by it.
Nothing you send is returned.

All requirements
- You and both parents are foreign nationals. Korean and dual nationals cannot apply, and any Korean nationality must be given up before the deadline
- You finish high school by February 2027. Qualification exams, home schooling and distance learning are NOT accepted
- MOST CLASSES ARE IN KOREAN. Only Global Studies teaches in English
- Nepalese, Mongolian, Vietnamese and Uzbek applicants need TOPIK 5 whatever the department asks, and have extra bank rules
- A bank balance of 16,000,000 won or more in your or a parent's name, issued within 30 days of 6 November 2026
- Judged on your documents, with an interview in some departments: in person in Korea, by phone or Zoom from abroad
- At PNU's own Korean institute without TOPIK yet? You can be admitted on condition you complete the level by 29 January 2027
- If you have not graduated yet, send your final certificate by 26 February 2027
- First-semester TOPIK scholarship: Tuition I at TOPIK 4, all of Tuition II at TOPIK 5, both at TOPIK 6. Send the certificate by 11 December
