What do I need?

• Application form (online application).
• Personal Statement and Research Plan (provided form).
• Curriculum Vitae (free-form personal resume).
• Applicant’s and parents’ proof of citizenship; valid passport copies are recommended, and if a valid passport is not available, a notarized national ID or certificate of nationality, or a Certificate of Alien Registration, may be submitted by post.
• Two Recommendation Letters (provided form), and each recommender must email the letter directly to [email protected].
• List of Honors and Awards (optional).
• Official Transcript(s) from every undergraduate and graduate institution attended; the transcript must be issued by the institution, bear the official seal, and be signed by the head of the institution.
• Degree Certificate(s) from every undergraduate and graduate institution where degrees were earned; prospective graduates may submit an expected graduation certificate.
• Official transcripts and degree certificates must be submitted with original Apostille or Consular Authentication.
• For applicants who earned a degree in China, an additional document such as a degree certificate or a Qualification Certificate issued by CHSI is required.
• English proficiency proof: a Score Report of English Proficiency Test, or a Proof of Instruction Language document bearing the institution’s seal.
• Degree Thesis (optional).

All requirements

• MS / MS-Ph.D. Integrated applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree, or be a prospective graduate of undergraduate study; the bachelor’s degree must be awarded before enrollment.
• Applicants and their parents must hold foreign citizenship; Korean citizens who hold another citizenship are not eligible for International Admissions.
• Applicants with Korean nationality residing abroad are eligible only if they received their entire education from 1st grade of elementary school to undergraduate graduation outside Korea, and they must submit proof of that educational background.
• Every applicant must demonstrate English proficiency.
• The minimum English test scores are TOEFL PBT 550, TOEFL iBT 79, TOEIC 750, IELTS 6.0, or TEPS 600 New327.
• A Certificate of English as Medium of Instruction may be substituted for the English proficiency test, if it proves all courses were completed in English.
• Applicants who graduated from a university in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Great Britain, South Africa, or the United States are exempted from the English Proficiency Test.
• The department may use an online interview, an offline interview, or a written evaluation.
