Overseas Koreans (재외동포) do not file it. Sangmyung ILCEC (국제언어문화교육원) students with alien registration (등록외국인) file half. Applicants changing status (for example D-4 to D-2) who are nationals of the two printed country lists file half.
Those lists, as printed: "장관고시국가" Ghana, Nigeria, Nepal, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Mongolia, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Iran, Egypt, India, Indonesia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Thailand, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines (21).
And "중점관리국가" Guinea, Mali, Ethiopia, Uganda, Cameroon (5).
For the D-2 visa the guide asks for one year of tuition and living costs (a balance held 6 months or more); Vietnamese applicants add a separate frozen-deposit (지급유보) study-cost certificate from the bank.
Family relation proof as printed: China, hukou copy and relation certificate; Vietnam, birth certificate and family register; Japan, family register; Mongolia, birth certificate and family relation certificate; USA and others, birth certificate.

NO ENTRANCE FEE is printed. Each bill also carries a 12,000 won student fee (학생경비), which the guide says is optional. Tuition amounts are the 2026 rates.
Admission letters are e-mailed after tuition (round 1: 14 to 15 December 2026). D-4 holders in Korea change to D-2 through the school's agency service or at the Sejongno immigration office; register within 90 days of entry.
Dormitory, a semester, 2026 rates, utilities included: single 1,564,000 won; double 1,100,000; triple 944,000; quad 884,000. Places depend on final registration numbers.

Applying for the D-2 visa abroad: nationals of high tuberculosis-risk countries also file a TB certificate from a designated hospital that includes a chest X-ray result (as printed).
Filed an expected-graduation, completion or enrolment certificate? File the final graduation or completion certificate within 1 week of the day it can be issued, and before entry, or the admission is cancelled.
Withdrawing after paying: full tuition refund before classes start, part after. A refused visa cancels the admission; tuition is refunded, the application fee is not.
Vietnam, as printed: education papers confirmed by the Korean consulate in Vietnam or by the Vietnamese mission in Korea are both accepted (choose one).
