What can I study?

Published by Sejong University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.

What do I need?

• Application form, applicant checklist and academic records verification agreement
• Passport colour scan (the name must match your parents' documents; affidavit for any difference) and residence card if you have one
• Language score, Sejong TOPIK, or Form 6 (research capability letter)
• Bachelor's certificate and full transcript showing the average and scale (CHSI for China; apostille or consular confirmation plus notarised English translation elsewhere); master's certificate and transcript for a PhD
• Study plan on the designated form; CV with employment certificates; research list for a PhD
• Both parents' passports and a parent-child relationship document
• Arts, Music and PE: portfolio link (YouTube, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox or Vimeo); music audition pieces as listed
• Scholarship papers (Form 7, language score, Sejong certificates) if you claim one

THE BANK BALANCE IS 20,000,000 WON, USD 16,000 OR RMB 110,000 in your own name, issued within 30 days of the visa request, from admitted students only.

Application fee 170,000 won (provisional), refunded only within the online window.

Other costs the guide estimates: housing and living 13,800,000 and other expenses 1,200,000 won a year.

All requirements

• A bachelor's (master's or joint course) or a master's (PhD) obtained or expected before March 2027; both parents not Korean. Lifelong-education degrees and equivalency exams are not recognised
• KOREAN TRACK: TOPIK or Sejong TOPIK 3 (2 for arts and PE), or the KIIP and King Sejong Institute substitutes, or level 4 at the Sejong Language Center (level 2 for arts and PE), or the graduate prep course
• ENGLISH TRACK: IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 3.5 or New TEPS 202; exempt with an English-speaking nationality or degree (a score is still filed before graduation). Or a research capability letter approved by your adviser-to-be
• Bilingual programme (Music, Fashion Design): no score to apply, but two terms at the Sejong Language Center alongside the course
• Each department lists its language of instruction (Korean, English or bilingual); English options include Public Administration, Chemistry, Computer Science, Software, Architecture, Environment and Energy, AI and Data Science
• Forms 5, 6 and 7 (adviser support, research capability, scholarship) go by post or in person DURING the application window
• Admitted students cannot defer; admission is cancelled if the D-2 visa is refused. National health insurance is compulsory
