What can I study?

Published by Seokyeong University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.

What do I need?

• Application form printed after the online application; study plan (school form); personal data consent (generated online); the fee transfer proof
• Master's: bachelor's degree (or expected) certificate and transcript. PhD: bachelor's degree and transcript plus master's degree (or expected) and transcript. Every certificate issued within 3 months of applying
• Foreign degrees: China, the CHSI English qualification and degree reports plus the notarised diploma, degree and transcript; others, apostille or consular confirmation with a Korean or English notarised translation
• Degrees from the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Taiwan, Sweden or South Africa: sign an overseas degree-check consent after admission and pay the check fee
• Passport copies of you and both parents; family relation proof (China: notarised hukou; others: birth or family certificate) with a Korean or English notarised translation; extra papers if a parent died, divorced or adopted
• Valid TOPIK report; ARC copy if you have one; language school certificate with attendance and grades if any. Musical practical-track applicants add activity records, an audition or portfolio and a recommendation

THE BANK BALANCE IS 20,000,000 WON OR MORE (or the same in a home-country bank), original, in your or a parent's name, issued within 30 days of applying, filed WITH the application. Admitted students may need a new original for the visa. F-4, H-2, F-5 and other work-eligible holders ask +82-2-940-7083.

Application fee 80,000 won to the graduate school's Shinhan Bank account in your own name (SWIFT SHBKKRSE from abroad); refunded only if a department does not run. Entrance fee 938,000 won once.

Dormitory: apply to the graduate office after paying tuition; not everyone gets a room; fees follow the Korean students' rates (no amount printed); selected students move in from 25 February 2027; you move out after each term.

Withdraw and get a refund from payment until 17 February 2027 (10:00 to 16:00, weekdays). A department head may require undergraduate prerequisite courses at extra cost.

All requirements

• You and both parents are foreign nationals (no Korean dual nationals), or you completed 16 years or more of schooling, primary school to university, abroad
• Master's: a bachelor's from a Korean or foreign four-year university, held or expected by February 2027. PhD: a master's, held or expected by February 2027
• KOREAN TRACK: master's TOPIK 4 (arts and PE: TOPIK 3); PhD TOPIK 4 in every field. Valid scores only. Every Korean-track student needs TOPIK 4 (PhD TOPIK 5) before graduating
• CONDITIONAL ADMISSION with TOPIK 3 (arts and PE: 2): 100 hours of Korean a semester from the first semester (300 for a master's, 500 for a PhD), fee separate and not printed; reach TOPIK 4 (PhD 5) before graduation
• BILINGUAL TRACK (Chinese and Korean): the same 300 or 500 hours of Korean, waived with TOPIK 4; Beauty Arts may instead reach TOPIK 4 (PhD 5) by graduation; Global Sports is exempt. No TOPIK minimum to apply is printed
• NO ENGLISH ROUTE: no TOEFL, IELTS or TEPS option appears, and no department accepts English in place of Korean
• THREE ROUNDS for March 2027: 14 to 20 October 2026, 7 to 11 December 2026 and 20 to 22 January 2027. Some departments may not run the added rounds; the last is only for foreigners in Korea on an extendable D visa
• Selection: Korean track by documents (Musical, Dance, Practical Music add a practical interview); bilingual track documents plus an interview (Beauty Arts documents only). A Zoom or phone interview may be called. Under 60 of 100 fails
• Transfers apply in person or by post only, after checking seats with the graduate office (+82-2-940-7083). Master's 2 years, PhD 3 years, integrated 4 years
• Korean Language Education for Foreigners gives the Korean teacher certificate grade 2, but foreign students need TOPIK 6 to graduate. No medicine or nursing department is listed
