A scholarship below can remove the tuition line.
What can I study?
- Practical Dance (classes for foreign students; transfers into years 2 and 3)
- Golf Management, Global Dance Sport
- Sports and Technology (transfers into year 2; the English guide lists it under Global Convergence Division 2, the Korean guide governs)
Published by Seokyeong University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- Printed online application form; the study-cost pledge and the academic record check consent (school forms, 2027 versions posted 29 September 2026)
- Final diploma, notarised with apostille or consular confirmation; expected graduates first send an expected-graduation certificate (no apostille), then the apostilled diploma before the semester. China adds the CHSI or CDGDC verification
- Full transcript of your final school, in English, no apostille needed. Transfers add the university diploma and a full transcript showing credits earned and credits needed to graduate
- Family relation document from your home government (original or notarised; Japanese nationals may send the Japanese original); passport copies of you and both parents; visa and ARC copies if you have them
- TOPIK score report; D-4 students add the language school enrolment, attendance and grade certificates
- Bank balance certificate (see below); if your parents live in Korea, their income tax certificate, health insurance card and employment certificate (originals)
THE BANK BALANCE IS 20,000,000 WON OR MORE in your or a parent's name, Korean or foreign bank. Stage 1: a scan issued on or after 26 October 2026, WITH the application. Stage 2: an original issued on or after 30 December 2026, AFTER the results.
Registered as a foreigner in Korea: only a Korean bank certificate in your own name. Chinese banks: frozen past 2 March, original at stage 2 only. The sponsor should be a parent; another direct family member must prove the relationship.
Application fee 200,000 won (draft 2027 guide; the Fall 2026 guide said 100,000) to the university's Shinhan Bank account in your own name, not refundable. The school Korean test costs 70,000 won more.
Dormitory, a month (draft 2027 guide): single 400,000 to 450,000 won, double 300,000 to 350,000, four-person 250,000 to 300,000; rooms by lottery, prices may change, one-year residents first.
Applying for the visa from abroad: get two copies each of the academic verification and the bank certificate, one for the school and one for the consulate. Consulates may ask for more.
From the official guide. The school decides what it accepts, not Waegook.
All requirements
- You and BOTH parents are foreign nationals. Dual nationals and stateless people cannot apply; a dual national who gives up Korean nationality by 26 October 2026 is accepted on condition
- You finished schooling equal to Korean primary, middle and high school at regular schools recognised by that country's law. GED or equivalency exams, homeschooling, online and lifelong education are NOT accepted
- KOREAN: TOPIK 3 for humanities, social and science fields, TOPIK 2 for arts and PE (TOPIK 4 and 3 get priority). The guide does not say which major sits in which field. Results up to the 109th PBT and 16th IBT count
- Or CONDITIONAL ADMISSION to any major: pass the school's own Korean test (11 December 2026, 70,000 won; online from abroad, on campus if you live in Korea, at a set place in China). Passers and TOPIK 2 holders take a 1-year Korean course
- The 2027 guide prints no fee for that Korean course; the Fall 2026 pledge form said 750,000 won a semester (1,500,000 for the year). The Japanese high-school Korean test at LEVEL 2 also admits you, with no course but no scholarship
- THE SPRING 2027 GUIDE IS MARKED A DRAFT ("(안)"), posted 23 September 2026; figures may still change. One round only, and one department choice only. No quota: the school admits as many as it can take
- Selection is 100% interview (on campus or Zoom). Arts may add a practical test or portfolio, and Performing Arts may ask for a video first. Below the cut score you fail. Performing Arts and Design may cancel a track with few applicants
- NO ENGLISH TRACK: no English-taught major and no English test route is printed
- Transfers: a 2 or 3-year college degree or two years (4 semesters) at a 4-year university, and TOPIK 4 (arts and PE 3). Year-2 entry only after one year at a Korean 4-year university or a Korean junior college degree
- Closed to foreign applicants: Acting and Directing, Visual Design, Film, Advertising and PR Video, Future Convergence 1 and 2, Undeclared Major, Piano and Orchestra, Korean Dance
- No medicine, nursing, education, or science and engineering major is open to foreign applicants
- The guide says the university has no teaching or support facilities for students with special educational needs or physical disabilities
- To graduate: TOPIK 4 (arts and PE: TOPIK 3). National health insurance is compulsory until graduation. A visa refusal cancels the admission and tuition is refunded (not the application fee)
