A scholarship below can remove the tuition line.
What can I study?
- Korean and major basics; Korean can be waived with TOPIK
- Then any department in the track, placement guaranteed
- Computer Science and Engineering
Published by Seoul National University of Science and Technology (SeoulTech). Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- Original-document checklist (Form 1), the application printed after applying online, and the academic record check consent (Form 2) for your final school (not needed for Korean schools)
- Freshmen: high school graduation (or expected) certificate and transcript. Transfers add the university certificate, transcript and proof of its graduation credits. All apostilled or consular-confirmed (in Korea: your own embassy)
- Schooling in China: the CHSI report (English) and the school information form (Form 3). Grades not on a 4.0, 4.3, 4.5, 5.0, 10 or 100 scale: a converted transcript (Scholaro or WES)
- Copies: language score (TOPIK or Korean course; TOEFL iBT or IELTS for English units), Korean course enrolment letter and alien registration card if you are in Korea, passports of you and both parents
- Proof of your relationship to your parents, notarised translation (China: kinship certificate and hukou copies); death or divorce papers if relevant; single-parent form (Form 4); activity evidence
- College of Art and Design applicants: a portfolio of 10 or more pages as a PDF on USB, each work with title, year, material, size and a 2 to 3 sentence description. Self-introduction and study plan optional
- Admitted students only: an original bank balance certificate of 20,000,000 won or more; a parent's account also needs the financial form (Form 5)
THE BANK BALANCE IS 20,000,000 WON OR MORE (or the same value in another currency), in your name, or a parent's with Form 5. File it after admission, by the tuition deadline, issued within the month before that deadline. No passbook copies.
Without it there is no admission letter. A scholarship covering tuition and living costs replaces it (file the award letter); embassy or religious-body scholars may name that body as guarantor.
No financial papers for bachelor applicants who lived legally in Korea 6 years or more in a row and graduated from a Korean middle and high school. Changing status inside Korea needs a Korean bank certificate.
Application fee 120,000 won, paid online; a second choice adds 50,000. Not refunded if you withdraw after the deadline. No entrance fee is printed: the tuition table lists tuition and programme fees only.
Dormitory (2026 rates, per semester, vacations excluded): Seongnim Hall men's 3-person unit single 1,272,320 or double 1,001,280; women's double 1,016,960. Meals 543,900 (1 a day) to 1,332,000 (3 a day), paid at once.
Ask for a room only in the admission application. Move-in end of February 2027, office hours; upload a TB test and two MMR doses. A no-show loses dormitory rights for 2 semesters.
The dormitory fee is paid after you move in, with no other charge. The meal plan chosen in the application cannot be changed later.

All requirements
- You and both parents are foreign nationals. If you or a parent also holds Korean nationality, you cannot apply. Single-parent families: only the custodial parent counts, with official proof
- Foreigners of Korean descent: you and both parents took foreign nationality (and any dual nationals lost Korean nationality) before the equivalent of Korean high school
- FRESHMEN: high school graduate (or expected). TRANSFERS: 2 years at a four-year university with half its graduation credits, or a 2- to 3-year college degree (held or expected)
- A GED or other equivalency exam, homeschooling, cyber learning, adult or lifelong education does NOT count. Current SeoulTech students (enrolled or on leave) cannot apply
- KOREAN, one of: TOPIK 3 (PBT or iBT); SeoulTech Korean course level 4; level 4 at the Korean course of an IEQAS-certified Korean university; the overseas Koreans' Korea Understanding course, intermediate or advanced
- Or: King Sejong Institute intermediate or higher; or KIIP (the immigration social integration programme) pre-test 61 points or level 3. Completed within 2 years of applying; a level 4 enrolment letter does not count
- TOPIK sittings accepted: round 1 up to the 107th PBT (5 July 2026) and the 14th IBT (12 September 2026); round 2 up to the 15th IBT (24 October 2026)
- NEW FOR 2027: most freshmen enter the Global School of Liberal Studies (GSLS) by track, spend 2 semesters on Korean and major basics, then enter any department in their track (placement guaranteed)
- Freshmen admitted directly by a department instead: Architecture (5 years), Sports Sciences, Ceramic Arts, Metal Arts, Fine Arts, Creative Writing, ITM, MSDE, Business AMS and IMS, Global IT Convergence
- Selection: documents (grades, portfolio, activities, language), then an interview in person or online for those who pass. Miss the interview and you fail; there is no second date
- You choose a department (or track) when applying and cannot change it. A second choice costs 50,000 won more and counts only if the first fails. Round 1 failures may re-apply in round 2 with all papers again
- Pay tuition to the school's bank by the e-mailed deadline (round 1 mid-November, round 2 early January). Unpaid means not admitted, with no separate notice. The bank certificate is due by the same date
- Biomedical Sciences (English track) is planned to open from 2028; it does not take 2027 applicants
- Expected graduates: file the final certificate by 20 February 2027 for the admission letter; none by the semester start cancels admission. If certificates come late, an apostilled or consular-confirmed expected or provisional one can do
