- 경호경찰행정학과 Security and Police Administration (10 / 10 / 20) ■ top-up course after the degree
- 한국어학과 Korean Language (10 / 10 / 20; the printed subtotal is 80), a department for foreign students only (외국인전담), new for 2027
Published by Shin Ansan University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- School forms, originals: application form, self-introduction and study plan, study-expense pledge, personal data consent, pledge, in-school scholarship form, and the foreign official-score (TOPIK) scholarship form if it applies to you
- Passport copy. Alien registration card copy, front and back (applicants in Korea only)
- High school graduation (or expected) certificate and transcript, originals: an apostille, or notarised with consular confirmation (or a sealed 재외 교육기관확인서). Issued within 6 months of the visa application; the school keeps them
- Whole-family register (호적등본) or family relation certificate, translated and notarised, 1; add a translated notarised divorce certificate if your parents are divorced, or a death certificate if a parent has died
- ID card or passport copies of your father, mother and you, 1 each. For the 21 countries the Ministry of Justice lists, add a certificate showing your parents' names in English (the list, as printed, is in the notes)
- Official Korean certificate (TOPIK 2 or higher, valid), copy, if you have one. Korean course papers, if they apply: completion certificate with level, transcript with attendance, enrolment certificate
- Three photos taken within 3 months, 3.5 x 4.5 cm, passport style, your name in English on the back
- ADMITTED APPLICANTS: bank balance certificate (see notes), 2 originals; Korean course enrolment, transcript and attendance certificates issued within 30 days of the visa application; scholarship forms (school forms)
- Admitted applicants in Korea also file: integrated application form (별지 제34호); housing lease with 1 month or more left (if not in your name, the holder's ID copy and housing confirmation); alien card and the 135,000 won status-change cost
- Schools in Myanmar, as printed: "미얀마 소재 고등학교 졸업자는 '주한 미얀마 대사관' 영사확인을 필수로 함" (graduates of high schools in Myanmar must have the Myanmar Embassy in Korea confirm the papers)
BANK BALANCE: 20,000,000 won or more, an original bank certificate issued within 30 days of the visa application, 2 originals, filed after final admission. Shin Ansan Korean course completers prove 10,000,000 won or more instead.
Keep the deposit until the visa application; the certificate must show the deposit date, the issue date and the bank's contact. Whose name it must be in is not printed.
Application fee 40,000 won by transfer to IBK (account given separately), passport number in the memo, within the round's window; unpaid means not received. Add 15,000 won only if you sit the school's own Korean test (55,000 won in all).
TUITION TABLE, 2026 second-semester basis, one semester: 등록금 minus the 2,000,000 won new-student scholarship, plus an optional 65,000 won student council fee. No entrance fee is printed. 2027 amounts may change.
Example (humanities and social band): 3,373,000 less 2,000,000 = 1,373,000, plus 65,000 = 1,438,000 won; with TOPIK 2, 938,000 won; with TOPIK 3 or higher, 438,000 won (guide table, PDF p.13).
Results are sent to you individually and by SMS and shown on the admissions site (조회서비스). Tuition bills come by phone, e-mail or fax, or in person. Pay within the tuition window or the admission is cancelled.
Refund: the whole amount if you give up before the semester's entrance day (by 17:00); from that day on, under the 「대학수업료 및 입학금에 관한 규칙」. Paid only to you or a parent; transfer charges may be yours.
To claim it, send by visit, fax or e-mail the school's withdrawal form (입학 포기원), the tuition receipt, your alien card or passport copy and your bank book copy; for a parent's account add a power of attorney, their ID and their bank book copy.
DORMITORY: no dormitory fee or dormitory page is printed anywhere on the school's sites or in the guides. Applicants in Korea file a housing lease for the status change.
Papers are not returned. More papers may be asked for the visa, or for a visa extension or change if you already live in Korea. Only the school's own Korean course completers skip the apostille route for school papers (guide note).

All requirements
- WHO (유형1, 6호): you and both parents became foreign nationals before you began high-school-level study. If you or they gave up Korean nationality, file the loss certificate. Dual nationals holding Korean nationality cannot apply
- If only one parent is legally responsible for supporting you (부양의무자), only that parent's nationality counts, and a government document must show it
- WHO (유형2, 7호): you finished the whole primary and secondary course abroad. GED, other equivalency exams, homeschooling and cyber learning are NOT accepted. A full course in a system shorter than 12 years counts
- Schooling in two or more countries: in 11- or 12-year systems the last 3 years must be in that country to count as high school; in 13-year or longer systems, grades 10 to 12 or 11 to 13
- KOREAN, applicants in Korea, one of: TOPIK 2 or higher; KIIP stage 2 completed or pre-test 41 or higher; King Sejong Institute beginner 2 or higher; or a pass (60 of 100) in the school's own Korean test on the test day of your round
- The school's test is for students 9 months or more into a Korean course at a university in Korea who finished level 2 or are in level 3 or higher. TOPIK 2 holders still in a Korean course need 6 months of it at application (TOPIK 3 exempt)
- Applicants in Korea, as printed: "신안산대학교 한국어연수과정 어학연수생에 한하여 어학연수비자(D-4) 체류기간 상한에 도래한 자는 지원 가능" (trainees of the school's own Korean course who reach the D-4 stay limit may apply)
- School test day: bring your passport and alien registration card; test results are told to you individually. Holders of TOPIK 2, KIIP stage 2 (or pre-test 41) or King Sejong beginner 2 skip the test
- Applicants abroad: TOPIK 2, KIIP stage 2 (pre-test 41) or King Sejong beginner 2, valid at application; after admission the embassy may apply its own Korean standard at visa time
- SELECTION: documents 100% (study plan, grades, language). Pass mark 140 of 200 points (the table prints a total of 300). Study plan 60 to 100; TOPIK 2급 미만 60, 2급 70, 3급 80, 4급 90, 5급 이상 100. Ties: TOPIK, then the study plan
- Waiting-list (충원) offers and registration, posted on the admissions site and by phone: early rounds 23 to 31 December 2026 (until 21:00); regular round until 27 February 2027 (22:00)
- One department only; no multiple applications. Early-round (수시) failures may apply again in the regular round (정시). Quotas are base numbers and more may be admitted. Apply by visit or registered mail, arriving by the deadline
- TUITION, 2026 second-semester rates (2027 may change): 3,373,000 humanities and social; 3,685,000 engineering; 3,749,000 arts; 3,780,000 hotel culinary and baking. Every new foreign student has 2,000,000 won taken off first
- NO ENTRANCE FEE (입학금) is printed anywhere in the guide. An optional student council fee of 65,000 won is on the bill. TOPIK 2 takes a further 500,000 won off the first bill, TOPIK 3 or higher 1,000,000 won
- AFTER ADMISSION: pay tuition in Korea by virtual account, from abroad to an account issued to you, in your own name. Visas are filed as a group at Ansan immigration in order of tuition payment and papers; supplements by 26 February 2027
- Admission letter only after tuition is paid: from 30 January 2027 (early rounds) or 13 February (regular round), tentative (발급 예정). Visa papers 1 to 26 February (early rounds) or 15 to 26 February (regular round)
- Admission can be cancelled if the visa or status change is refused or you do not enter Korea within 3 weeks of the semester start. After paying tuition and getting the admission letter you cannot apply to or register at another school
- The office guide says selection details follow the 입학학생처 "2027학년도 외국인전형 모집요강". Its 2027 신입생 모집요강 (June 2026) prints 1 정원외 foreign seat per department and an unlimited foreign quota; the departments and quotas here come from the office guide
- AFTER THE DEGREE: ■ departments (Business, Security and Police, Electrical, Architecture and Interior, Beauty Design, Hotel Culinary) run a 전공심화과정 top-up (years 3 and 4) leading to a bachelor's (학사). Not listed here as a degree
- The top-up's own 2027 guide (입학처 site): applications 11 to 30 November 2026 and 4 to 20 January 2027; TOPIK 3 (or KIIP stage 3, King Sejong intermediate 1) or TOPIK 2 plus the school's test; English track in 경영학과; 2027 tuition not decided
