What do I need?

• Graduate school application form with the personal data consent, and the International Exchange Team application form (originals)
• Transcripts (bachelor's; PhD applicants bachelor's and master's), notarised in English or Korean when foreign
• Graduation or degree certificate with an apostille, a Korean consular confirmation or (China) the CHSI report
• Research plan in Korean (English allowed on the English track); three 3.5 x 4.5 cm photos from the last six months on a white background
• Passport copy, alien registration card copy if you hold one, parents' nationality proof and a family relationship document (English or Korean, notarised)
• Health certificate from a hospital the Korean mission designates, with a tuberculosis test (copy allowed); language certificate (copy allowed, original on admission)

THE BANK BALANCE IS USD 13,000 OR MORE in your or a parent's name, with at least three months of the deposit term left, issued within one month of the application date, filed WITH the application (original).

Application fee 60,000 won for master's and PhD to Busan Bank 101-2023-2785-00 (Silla University, SWIFT PUSBKR2P). Entrance fee 590,000 won once.

Every student gets a basic scholarship each semester (General Graduate School and Education 40%, Industrial Convergence and Counselling Therapy 30%); the guide prints tuition before and after it.

Tuition refunds after withdrawing only before the semester starts (28 August 2026 at noon for Fall 2026). The guide prints no dormitory information.

All requirements

• A bachelor's from a four-year university (master's) or a master's (PhD), held or expected, or the legal equivalent. A different earlier major is allowed with remedial courses
• You and BOTH parents are foreign nationals and you graduated from a university in Korea or abroad; OR all your schooling from primary school to university was abroad, 16 years or more (shorter national systems count as equal)
• KOREAN TRACK, one of: TOPIK 3; a year of continuous study at SKLI plus a pass on the Silla Korean test; KIIP stage 3 or a pre-test score of 61; King Sejong intermediate 1; a language recommendation from your future supervisor
• TOPIK 2 entrants take a compulsory Korean course in the first semester: 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, 20 weeks (09:00 to 11:50), 1,950,000 won
• ENGLISH TRACK (Tourism Management; Industrial Convergence Marketing, Beauty and Cosmetics): IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 59 (3.5), CEFR B2 or New TEPS 202; or an English-native or official nationality, an English-medium degree or a recommendation
• Government-invited scholars, foreign-government scholars and bilingual-course students are exempt from the language rules. Scores must still be valid after the application date
• THE FALL 2026 GUIDE IS THE NEWEST: round 1 ran 4 May to 16 June 2026 and round 2 22 to 30 June 2026, both closed. No Spring 2027 foreign graduate guide was posted by 1 October 2026
• Selection is on documents only (100 points: major knowledge, motivation and plans) with a research plan; no interview. Results on the graduate school homepage
• Expected graduates must file the degree certificate before the semester (by 28 August 2026 at noon for Fall 2026), or the admission is cancelled
