What can I study?

Published by Silla University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.

What do I need?

• Application form (school form), self-introduction and study plan (free form), passport copy, alien registration card copy if you hold one, three 4 x 5 cm photos on a white background
• Final school certificate with an apostille or consular confirmation original: freshmen the high school (expected) graduation certificate, transfers the university one. China adds the CHSI report
• Notarised translated transcript (high school, or the previous university for transfers). Schooled entirely abroad without two foreign parents: primary, middle and high school certificates and transcripts
• Parents' nationality proof (passport, ID or government paper) and a notarised translated family document (China: hukou or kinship certificate; elsewhere a birth certificate, family register or similar)
• Language certificate: TOPIK or a substitute (Korean track) or the English score (English track), unless exempt
• Bank balance certificate original; health certificate original from a hospital the Korean consulate designates, including a tuberculosis test

THE BANK BALANCE IS USD 13,000 OR MORE in your or a parent's name, issued within one month of the application date, filed WITH the application.

Application fee 70,000 won to Busan Bank 101-2018-5825-09 (Silla University, SWIFT PUSBKR2P); the application is complete only once it is paid.

An expected-graduation certificate must be replaced by the graduation certificate before the semester starts, or the admission may be cancelled. Register at one university only.

All requirements

• You and BOTH parents are foreign nationals and you finished primary, middle and high school (in Korea or abroad); OR you are a foreign national who finished all three abroad, whatever your parents' nationality (11 or 10-year systems count)
• Freshmen: a high school graduate or the equivalent. The guide prints no GED or homeschooling rule; it asks for the high school graduation certificate with apostille or consular confirmation
• KOREAN TRACK (all departments except the International College and the College of Global Engineering): TOPIK 3, or KIIP stage 3 (pre-test 61), or King Sejong intermediate 1, or a pass on the Silla Korean test after a year at SKLI
• TOPIK 2 is enough for Hotel and Tourism, Beauty Care, Webtoon, Social Welfare and Future Convergence, with a compulsory 300 hours of Korean in the first semester (1,950,000 won, paid separately)
• INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE (Global Business) and COLLEGE OF GLOBAL ENGINEERING, Korean track: freshmen need no language score. Transfers need TOPIK 3 or the substitutes; Global Business also takes its own Korean test
• ENGLISH TRACK (at least half of major courses in English): International Business, International Tourism, Automotive and Mechanical Engineering. IELTS 5.5, TOEFL iBT 59 (3.5), CEFR B2 or New TEPS 202
• English-track exemptions: nationals of countries where English is a native or legal official language (the Korean Foreign Ministry list), and graduates of an English-medium high school or university with proof
• Scores count only if still valid on the application deadline. A missing language certificate must follow by 23 December 2026 or you fail (Korean-track freshmen of the two global colleges excepted)
• Selection is on documents only, no interview, no overall quota. Teacher Education departments cap foreigners at 10% of each unit's quota; Aviation Operation and Aviation Service take 5 each
• Transfers: year 3 after two years (4 semesters) and half of Silla's graduation credits; year 4 after three years or a three-year college diploma, three quarters of the credits, same major, checked by the department first
• The transfer tables use some other unit names (for example K-Culture on the English track). Year-4 Business Administration adds a Chinese track, open only to people from countries where Chinese is a native or official language
• Transfers can also enter Industrial Design Convergence (International College, transfer tables only) with no language score; it needs TOPIK 3 to graduate
• Not in the tables for foreign freshmen: Nursing, Physical Therapy, Dental Hygiene, Aviation Maintenance, Corporate Management and Industrial Facility Convergence. The guide gives no reason
• The SKLI route needs a completion certificate for every term; if the term you are in when you apply is not completed, the admission is cancelled
• To graduate on the Korean track: TOPIK 4 (arts and PE: TOPIK 3), or KIIP stage 4 (pre-test 81), or King Sejong intermediate 2. The English track has no language rule to graduate
