What do I need?

• Online application, printed, with the list of submitted documents and a signed letter of consent Apply
• Colour copies of your passport and both parents' passports
• Birth certificate or family relationship certificate, showing nationality and your relationship to both parents
• Language proof for your track: TOPIK, a Korean institute certificate or King Sejong completion for the Korean track; an official English test report for the English track
• High school graduation or expected-graduation certificate, with an apostille or Korean consular confirmation
• High school transcripts for every year or semester, with the grading scale, apostilled or consular-confirmed
• Certificates of alien registration, if either parent lives in Korea
• Optional: a personal statement in Korean or English, activity certificates up to 10 pages, exam results such as IB, A-Level or SAT

PAPERS GO BY POST and must ARRIVE at the Office of International Student Services by the document deadline: 4 September in round one, 27 November in round two.

SKKU strongly recommends documents issued within three months of applying.

The fee is 150,000 and is not refunded. Reapplying to the same unit after a preliminary offer costs 30,000.

If you have not graduated yet, you send the final certificate and transcript after admission, apostilled.

All requirements

• You and both parents hold non-Korean nationality on the day you apply, dual nationality included
• Judged 100% on your documents: school grades, language and activities. There is no test
• SKKU gives 10% to 100% of first-semester tuition to its strongest admits, with no separate application
• If you applied in the first round and apply again in the second, every document must be sent again
• Global Economics takes students for the spring term only
• It cannot be combined with a second major: SKKU closes it to multiple majors
• English is waived if you are a national of a country where English is an official language, or did all of middle and high school there, with apostilled proof
• English track students never need TOPIK: not to pick the major, not for the courses, not to graduate
• A personal statement is optional. If you write one online, you post a printed copy with your papers
