What do I need?
- Application form [Form 1], with your university's official English name Apply
- Self-introduction and study plan [Forms 2 and 3]
- Academic verification forms [Forms 4 and 5]; a PhD applicant fills them for both degrees
- Colour copies of your passport and both parents' passports or ID cards
- Family relationship certificate or birth certificate, original or notarised
- The language certificate your department asks for
- Bachelor's certificate, or expected, and transcripts, apostilled or embassy-legalised. A PhD applicant adds the master's
- Recommendation form, where your department asks for it
- Optional: awards, scholarships, extra test scores, a thesis, a portfolio
EVERYTHING IS UPLOADED to the online system: by 17:00 on 9 October in round one. Round one's admitted students post paper originals 13 November to 2 December.
If admitted: a bank statement showing more than 20,000,000 won, issued within 30 days, for the visa certificate. A scholarship letter can replace it.
The fee is 100,000. Round one admits pay a deposit 13 to 20 November and full tuition in January 2027. Round two admits register in January with no deposit. Round three pays straight away.

All requirements
- A bachelor's by February 2027 for a master's or combined master's and PhD; a master's for a PhD. Fully online degrees are not accepted
- A foreign university must appear in the IAU World Higher Education Database, or you add an embassy letter confirming its accreditation
- There is no quota for international students
- Most departments want you to agree an advising professor BEFORE you apply and name them on the form
- Judged on your documents in most departments, without an interview. Biophysics interviews by Zoom
