What you pay

What do I need?

• Online application, printed, with the list of submitted documents and a signed letter of consent Apply
• Colour copies of your passport and both parents' passports
• Birth certificate or family relationship certificate, showing nationality and your relationship to both parents
• Language proof for your track: TOPIK, a Korean institute certificate or King Sejong completion for the Korean track; an official English test report for the English track
• High school graduation or expected-graduation certificate, with an apostille or Korean consular confirmation
• High school transcripts for every year or semester, with the grading scale, apostilled or consular-confirmed
• Certificates of alien registration, if either parent lives in Korea

PAPERS GO BY POST and must ARRIVE at the Office of International Student Services by the document deadline: 4 September in round one, 27 November in round two.

SKKU strongly recommends documents issued within three months of applying.

The fee is 150,000 and is not refunded. Reapplying to the same unit after a preliminary offer costs 30,000.

If you have not graduated yet, you send the final certificate and transcript after admission, apostilled.

Graduates of high schools in some countries add a verification report and exam results. See the guide, pages 16 to 19.

Papers in other languages need a translation notarised by a government or accredited agency, never by you, a relative or a private translator.

All requirements

• You and both parents hold non-Korean nationality on the day you apply, dual nationality included
• Judged 100% on your documents: school grades, language and activities. There is no test
• SKKU gives 10% to 100% of first-semester tuition to its strongest admits, with no separate application
• NO KOREAN YET? You can still apply and receive a preliminary offer. It becomes final if you reapply to the same unit within two years with TOPIK 4 or Sungkyun institute level 4
• You need TOPIK 4 before choosing your major in year two, and TOPIK 5 to graduate
• Graduates of overseas high schools with TOPIK 6 get a 100% first-semester tuition waiver, and TOPIK 5 gets 50%
• All required documents except the TOPIK score report must be submitted by the deadline.
• Your documents are counted by when they arrive at the Office of International Students Services.
• For the first round, additional TOPIK score reports must arrive by Oct 4, 2026.
• Architecture (5 years) takes spring entrants only
