A scholarship below can remove the tuition line.
What can I study?
- Sport and Exercise Science: contest awards and participation records may be sent
Published by Seoul Women's University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- Online application at jinhakapply.com; the pledge (school form, printed and sent); passport copy (photo page); alien registration card copy, front and back, if you have one
- Family relation proof for you and your parents, original, with a Korean or English notarised translation; your parents' ID or passport copies (notarised translation if not Korean or English)
- FRESHMEN: high school diploma (or expected) and transcript, originals, apostilled or consular-confirmed; schooled in China: the CDGDC or CHSI report. Holders of a higher degree add that diploma and transcript
- TRANSFERS: proof of two years completed (or the college diploma, or enrolment in year 3), full transcript, high school diploma, and proof of the old school's graduation credits, semesters and grade scale
- One Korean proof, original: TOPIK report; language institute completion (or enrolment) certificate and transcript; Japan Hangul test report; Social Integration Program stage 3; King Sejong Institute Intermediate 1
- Sport and Exercise Science: contest awards and participation records, if any. Christian Studies: baptism certificate (original). Bank balance certificate: admitted students only, later
THE BANK BALANCE IS 20,000,000 WON, in your own name, issued within 30 days (Korean guide; the English one says USD 20,000 within 3 months, and Korean governs). Admitted students only; keep it on deposit until entry (1 September 2026).
Papers from a foreign school must show the school, the issuing office, address, international phone and fax numbers and website. A verification report for study in China takes about 30 days.
Freshmen from a vocational high school in China may instead send the school diploma confirmed by the provincial education office and a Korean consul in China, or a diploma issued by that office with Korean consul confirmation.
A parent absent through divorce or death: send a government document proving it. Names that differ across papers: a same-person certificate from a court or embassy of that country.
If someone else pays: their balance certificate and a study-cost pledge; a brother, sister or relative also proves the relationship. The sponsor should in principle be you or a parent.
Application fee 130,000 won (the 5,000 won online fee is paid by the school); refunds only in the cases the law sets. No entrance fee is printed: the tuition table is tuition only.
Expected graduates send the final diploma, apostilled or consular-confirmed (China: verification report or consular confirmation), to the International Affairs Team by 1 September 2026 (the document list says before the admission letter).
If the D-2 visa is refused, tuition is refunded: send the school withdrawal form, the tuition receipt, and a bank book copy and ID of you (or a parent or the sponsor) to the admissions team.
Dormitory: International Residence Hall, two-person room, 1,160,000 won for 15 weeks plus a 20,000 won move-in fee (2026 rates); vacation fees set separately. National health insurance is compulsory.

All requirements
- You and BOTH parents are foreign nationals, all of you before you began the equivalent of Korean high school. Korean dual nationals and stateless people cannot apply. Renounced Korean nationality needs proof of loss
- FRESHMEN: high school graduate (or expected), in Korea or abroad, from regular schools recognised there. Equivalency exams, homeschooling and cyber schooling are NOT accepted (cyber university study is). Reference date 1 September 2026
- TRANSFERS: two years (four semesters) at a four-year university with 65 credits or more (other calendars: half the credits to graduate, with proof), or a two or three-year college degree. No change of major or early graduation
- KOREAN, one of: TOPIK 3; level 3 completed at a Korean university language institute; or other proof the school accepts (Japan Hangul test level 3, Social Integration Program stage 3, King Sejong Institute Intermediate 1)
- School of Media and Communication: TOPIK 4 only (no institute or other proof). Arts and PE (Sport and Exercise Science, Industrial Design, Art and Design School): TOPIK 2, or institute level 3, or the other proofs above
- Every admit must reach TOPIK 4 before graduating and take the Korean courses the school assigns (free). A Korean placement test may follow admission
- NO ENGLISH TRACK: the guide says most classes are taught in Korean, and no English test route is printed
- THE FALL 2026 GUIDE IS THE NEWEST (three rounds, March to July 2026, all past). No Spring 2027 guide yet (checked 5 October 2026); the international office page says spring applications run October to January, no dates yet
- Selection is 100% document review, no interview. Results appear only on the school website (no individual notice). Round 3 (July) was only for applicants living in Korea
- Every student takes Introduction to Christianity (2 credits) and chapel (freshmen 6 semesters, transfers 2) plus the Barom character education course
- Sex: the undergraduate guides print no rule on the applicant's sex. If this matters to you, ask the International Affairs Team (+82-2-970-5144)
- Transfers: not into the Undeclared Major or Psychology and Cognitive Science. Into Media and Communication, Intelligent Information Security or Global Commerce, name one major. Study may take longer if not all old credits count
