What do I need?
- Application form, on Woosong's own site Apply
- Passport copy
- Proof of language ability, valid through the whole application
- Official high school diploma, or expected graduation certificate
- Official high school transcript
- Apostille or Korean embassy verification on your academic records, under six months old. Korean school graduates are exempt
- Copies of your ID and both parents' IDs
- Family relationship certificate, issued within the last year
- Residence card copy, if you already live in Korea
- Bank balance statement showing USD 16,000 or more, under a month old
THE BANK AMOUNT IS PRINTED TWO WAYS. Woosong's Fall 2026 guide and the hard-copy list on its admissions page say USD 16,000; the online list on the same page says 16,000,000 won (about USD 11,000). We show USD 16,000.
THE BANK ACCOUNT CAN BE YOURS OR A PARENT'S, unless you already live in Korea on a visa: then it must be your own, at a Korean bank.
AFTER ACCEPTANCE AND PAYMENT you post two certified copies of the apostilled diploma and the bank letter: one set to Woosong, one for your visa.
Woosong takes applications from outside Korea and from inside on DIFFERENT deadlines. The deadline inside Korea is later.
Applicants from one country named in the guide use a national degree check and a household register instead. See pages 11 and 12 of the guide.

All requirements
- You and both your parents hold non-Korean citizenship. If either parent is Korean you are not eligible
- All three of you must have taken that foreign citizenship BEFORE you started high school
- The dormitory is compulsory for your first semester, and its fee is on the same invoice as tuition
- Woosong sets its scholarship by your language score, and keeps paying it only while your grades hold
From the official page. The provider decides, not Waegook.
