Published by Yonsei University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- Application form, printed after you apply online
- Study-period record listing every primary, middle and high school you attended, on Yonsei's form
- Self-introduction, on Yonsei's form
- High school diploma, or expected-graduation certificate, with an apostille or consular confirmation
- Transcripts for every semester of high school, with an apostille or consular confirmation
- Copies of your passport and both parents' passports
- Your birth certificate, or another document showing your relationship to both parents
- Proof of Korean or English: a test report, a standardised exam with a Korean or English score, a Korean course certificate, or an official letter that your school taught in Korean or English
- Optional: middle school transcripts, awards, certificates, a school profile
EVERYTHING GOES BY POST. You apply online, then print the form and send it with your papers by registered or express mail, by 17:00 on 30 September.
Write your application number at the top right of every page.
If you are admitted: a bank balance of at least 22,000,000 won in your name or a parent's, for the visa certificate. The issue date is announced with the results.
The fee is 200,000, or 230,000 for medicine, dentistry and pharmacy, and is not refunded once paid.

All requirements
- You and both parents are foreign nationals on the day you apply. Dual Korean nationality in any of you makes you ineligible
- You finish high school by February 2027, or March 2027 for schools in Japan
- A GED, homeschooling or cyber study is NOT accepted
- Any proof of Korean or English will do to apply. There is no minimum score
- THE DEGREE IS TAUGHT IN KOREAN. You need TOPIK 3 to enter your major after year one, and TOPIK 4 to graduate
- Year one is spent in the Global Basic Education Division on the Songdo International Campus, on that division's tuition
- Judged 100% on your documents, with no interview
- Yonsei is a Christian foundation: every student takes set Christian courses and chapel
- You may apply to this track and to the Global Talent Division track at the same time, one unit in each
- A separate admission track from the college majors, with its own application. The same guide, fee and deadline
