What can I study?
- Computer Science
- Artificial Intelligence
- Integrated Technology
Published by Yonsei University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- Bachelor's degree certificate, or an expected-graduation or enrolment certificate, and transcripts from every university you attended
- PhD applicants: the master's certificate and transcript
- Study plan, typed into the application portal
- Proof of language: an online-verifiable score printout as PDF, or the substitute document your department accepts
- Copies of your and both parents' valid passports
- A birth certificate or other legal document showing your relationship to both parents
- Proof of funds: 22,000,000 won or more, in your or a parent's bank account, or a scholarship covering that much
- Letter of Confirmation (Non-Korean), signed Form
- A photo as JPG, used for your student card
- Optional but highly recommended: up to two recommendation letters, sent through the portal
EVERYTHING IS UPLOADED AS PDF. Paper sent to the school or the department is refused.
The fee is 130,000 won (USD 130 by PayPal) and is not refunded. Nothing can be changed once you have paid.
If admitted, the visa certificate needs the ORIGINAL final degree certificate, apostilled or consular-confirmed, and the 22,000,000 won proof again. A provisional certificate is refused.
Every non-Korean admitted on this track gets the Yonsei International Companion Scholarship, a stipend with no application, for up to four semesters. The guide prints no amount.

All requirements
- Track 1: neither you nor either parent holds Korean citizenship. Two other tracks are for people whose whole education, primary school to bachelor's, was abroad
- A bachelor's by February 2027 for a master's or the combined degree, and a master's for a PhD. March 2027 for Japanese universities
- A language score at or above your department's minimum, from a test taken on or after 4 December 2024. A lower score counts as not submitted
- Instead of a Korean test: all of secondary school or a degree completed in Korea, or a university Korean institute certificate at the department's TOPIK level
- Instead of an English test: citizenship of the US, UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa, or a whole degree taught in English
- One application per semester, to one department. Applying twice gets every application rejected
- You cannot take leave in your first semester, except for military service, childbirth or illness
