Published by Youngsan University. Which of these a scholarship covers is decided by the school.
What do I need?
- Application form and study plan (appendix 1 and 2); applicant photo
- Bachelor's certificate and transcript (PhD: the master's too). Degrees from abroad need apostille or consular verification; China: the education ministry verification in English, a notarised certificate and the CHSI report
- Transcripts need no apostille; explain any grading scale other than 4.0, 4.3, 4.5 or percent. Korean or English proficiency proof
- Passport copies of you, your father and mother; family relations certificate; financial documents; proof of non-Korean citizenship (Korean descendants: loss or renunciation of Korean nationality)
THE BANK BALANCE: applicants abroad file the amount and holding period set by their Korean mission, in their or a parent's name; residents of Korea 16,000,000 won or more; Youngsan students a certificate within 20 days of the admission letter request. F-4 to F-6 holders may file visa proof instead.
No apostille yet? You may apply with the original certificate; if admitted, file the apostilled or consular-verified degree certificate and the original transcript before enrolment. An expected-graduation certificate is not accepted after admission.
The bank certificate must be on the bank's own form with its phone number, plus a copy of the front and back of the bankbook.
No application fee. Entrance fee 600,000 won once, waived for Youngsan graduates including Korean Language Education Center students.
Graduate office moved to Building D, room D4203, on 24 February 2026 (phone 051-540-7318 to 7320). The graduate guide prints no dormitory cost; see the undergraduate row for the 2026 second-semester rates.

All requirements
- PhD: both parents foreign nationals and a master's degree, or equivalent ability. Master's (special graduate schools): both parents foreign and a bachelor's degree. No separate rule is printed for the General Graduate School master's
- LANGUAGE: TOPIK 4, or that level on the school's own test, or TOEFL iBT 59, IELTS 5.5, CEFR B2 or New TEPS 202; native Chinese speakers for Chinese-track courses. Scores within two years, taken before the deadline
- THE SPRING 2026 ENGLISH GUIDE IS THE NEWEST for international applicants: four rounds, 1 September 2025 to 21 January 2026, all closed. The Spring 2027 graduate guide on the site is for Korean applicants only; do not use it
- Selection is an interview only: 100 points (character 30, fit for the major 30, language 40), under 60 fails
- Tracks: [E] English, [C] Chinese; they may change with recruitment, and more can open if enough students enrol. Several Chinese-track master's, and Smart City Energy Engineering, are one-year courses
- The master's in Nursing and Physical Therapy, and Smart Factory, are on the 2026 tuition sheet but not in the international guide's list; ask the office before applying for them
