G-LAMP Postdoctoral Fellow, Basic Science (₩50.4M Plus Research Fund) — Ajou University (Suwon)

Ajou University is recruiting one postdoctoral fellow for its Institute of Next Generation Energy Science, under the Ministry of Education's G-LAMP programme. The pay is published and comes with a separate research fund.

■ Read this first if you are not a Korean national
- The notice carries a condition you should know before spending time on an application. Under the ministry's G-LAMP plan, foreign postdoctoral fellows are capped at 20 per cent of the programme's intake, and the notice states that if every applicant is a foreign national the university may appoint nobody. With only one post advertised, that is a real limit, not a formality.

■ Duties
- Carrying out research on a project in your field, working with the institute's G-LAMP faculty. The detailed project list and the lead researchers are in the application pack attached to the notice.

■ Who can apply
- As of 1 November 2026, either within seven years of receiving your doctorate or under 40 years old, and able to carry out research alongside the institute's G-LAMP faculty. The notice says a related field in basic science, meaning mathematics, physics, chemistry or life sciences, can be accepted even where it does not match a project exactly.
- Lead researchers and co-researchers on certain other national group research projects are not eligible.

■ Terms
- 50,400,000 won a year before tax. The notice adds that the total personnel cost per person, including severance and the statutory share of the four major insurances, comes to about 60,000,000 won a year.
- A G-LAMP fellowship research fund of up to 30,000,000 won a year, plus the institute's equipment and space.
- Contract from 1 November 2026 to the end of October 2027. Five days a week, 09:00 to 18:00.
